@BayGoalsPod I’m a STH in it for long haul. I’m perfectly ok with the FO staying patient right now and getting the books ready for the next transfer window. Fans may be impatient but if there are better options soon to become available due to expiring contracts, it’s smarter to wait.
@BayGoalsPod Keeper, Winger, and CB, in that order. We have more options that can deputize at CB than at the wing. If we weren’t on the playoff bubble then you could maybe deprioritize GK depth. But the need for more goal dangerous wingers/forwards is very clear.
@MenInBlazers Jim Harbaugh before winning the title at Michigan.
Man motivator, a personality, wins a lot but few trophies. Fmr player, did well at San Diego State (Espanyol), took a program like Stanford (Tottenham) to great heights, did stints at big names 49ers (PSG) & Michigan (Chelsea).
@AndrewVisnovsky Totally agree. I feel like they need to go back to the spirit of the game -- offside should be about not giving attackers a *clear* advantage. A toe, a finger, or a sliver of a knee that's a couple of inches ahead of a defender 30 yards from goal isn't an advantage.
@AndrewVisnovsky It's frustrating for sure, because personally I don't think having a sliver of a shoulder or a toe ahead of the defender actually merits having a clear advantage over the defender. But apparently if it's deemed 'objective' then they take it to the millimeter extreme 🤦♂️
@AndrewVisnovsky When I've brought up the 'clear and obvious' standard before, the response was that onside/offside is considered to be an 'objective' decision. Only 'subjective' decisions like penalties, red cards, etc can have the 'clear and obvious' standard applied to it.
@BayGoalsPod A clean sheet would be a big boost in confidence. Comes from defensive cohesion, cutting down the cheap giveaways, and staying locked in for all 90+ minutes. Especially important with Loera’s absence at the 6.
I would have no problem with a 0-0 draw on the road in San Diego.
@BayGoalsPod One comment on the discussion re: Malonson. In the 39' she made a strong recovery run + a clean tackle to snuff out a close range 1v1 chance that Balcer had against Rowland. That play stuck out for me when watching the game at the stadium.
@BayGoalsPod I’d like to hear thoughts about how the team is likely to set up, expected starting XI, and what to look for in terms of attacking and defending principles.
@OptaJoe Is it just me, or were there a really high number of goals scored in the first 5 to 10min of the game this past weekend of match days? Like, across all the world's major leagues. I don't know how to find the data for this, but figured you might!
It’s disappointing because I frankly expect better for a 9th gen Apple product. It’s not drawer bound though:
- will continue using it for exercise (Fitness+ integration is excellent)
- for sleep health tracking & quiet wrist vibration morning alarms
I’ve given up on my Apple Watch Series 9 as a daily wearer. It’s just an invitation for frustration, more than anything else. Main reason is that complications & apps are slow to update or just quit working at all. Most app experiences (even Apple’s own) are still too buggy.
