Besides Proof-of-Work (PoW) we also have Proof-of-Stake (PoS)
Ethereum was previouly PoW now they are Proof-of-Stake
Bitcoin use PoW but most of the Blockchain now use Proof-of-Stake
PoW use havy computational power where PoS is stake based
