We regret the inconvenience caused to our passengers due to this unforeseen disruption and are making every effort to minimize it, including providing accommodation for passengers. Refunds on cancellation or complimentary rescheduling is also being offered to guests who opt for it. Alternative arrangements are being made to fly passengers to their destinations.

Air India confirms that flight AI171, from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, was involved in an accident today after take-off.

The flight, which departed from Ahmedabad at 1338 hrs, was carrying 242 passengers and crew members on board the Boeing 787-8 aircraft. Of these, 169 are Indian nationals, 53 are British nationals, 1 Canadian national and 7 Portuguese nationals.

The injured are being taken to the nearest hospitals.

We have also set up a dedicated passenger hotline number 1800 5691 444 to provide more information.

Air India is giving its full cooperation to the authorities investigating this incident.

NCLAT order today on Jet Airways: seems like the runway cleared & ball is in JKC court now as lenders didn’t get much .
Let’s see if Jet comes back & how soon.

To follow post order:
-approved implementation of resolution plan without any deviations .
- lenders directed for specific and immediate implementation. No relief granted to lenders.

- Lenders to create security on immovable properties as offered by SRA within 30 days from today, upon creation of such security lenders to adjust the performance bank guarantee of 150 crores towards the 150 crore payment from SRA.

- Within 30 days of creation of security, lenders to issue shares of Jet Airways to SRA and handover the company.

-Within 30 days from the date of such handover SRA and lenders to complete all payments to creditors as per the approved resolution plan.

-Jet Airways can start business and operations, subject to regulatory approvals, after handover to SRA.
