After EP4, I can’t stand by ChanKey. Key deserves better. People who remain soft and hung‑up on their ex don’t deserve be loved. Sun is more fun and lively with the same face. I’m team SunKey now🤣

The writer has major issues with rationality and logic. If they managed to convince the audience that ChanJay truly loved each other, why can’t they tell the good story about why Key loves Chan? I just cannot understand it.

How can Chan still love Jay after Jay hurt her and came back years later? It is such an absurd plot setup. Key’s love for Chan also comes out of nowhere. The writer is lacking in competence, and there is poor consistency in character portrayals and the storyline.
Conflict in a love‑triangle can work, but the believability and depth of the characters matter far more. A love‑triangle trope is nothing more than a gimmick to grab attention. Without solid storytelling, you cannot retain your audience.
In the ChanKey , Chan should not always hold the upper hand; it makes the dynamic unpleasant to watch. It is hard to get invested if Key is entirely passive, begging for love. Far too much screen time is given to ChanJay. So far, Key’s characterization and backstory fall short compared to the novel. I wonder whether there will be further development for her later on.

idc if y'all get mad or salty at me, but they’re way too focused on the chanjay and their flashbacks, when in the novel, key’s family flashbacks are actually more important to the storyline :D

Honest thoughts on this episode… ChanKey’s backstory in the series feels so much lacking compared to the ChanKey’s backstory in the novel. They showed very little of what happened when ChanKey met in the past.

In the novel they highlighted how Chan really took care of Key after being abandoned by her stepmom in New York City. How Chan made sure she had food to eat and how she even let key sleep in her room. She made sure Key was okay and comfortable enough until Key’s dad found her. Kinda explains why Key got attached to Chan because she really saw her as her savior. Makes sense why she said she would get a moon tattoo. They spent time together that Key would never forget as a traumatized child.

The way that was translated in the series seriously feels lacking. Coz they just showed that Chan drove her home… and that’s it. They barely even talked. And suddenly Key is already attached to her to the point that she already promised that she’d get a moon tattoo for her…

Idk. It honestly just feels lacking for me. Unless they will show more into the backstory later on. But i doubt it. It’s probably just that. Unless they met again for some reason… ???

Sigh. This is just my opinion. Y’all are free to have your own too.
