A detailed report by the “Amicus Curiae” appointed by the Supreme Court of Pakistan on the health and prison conditions of arbitrarily detained former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan reveals disturbing details of serious human rights violations, inhumane treatment, psychological torture, and deliberate medical neglect, which has resulted in 85% vision loss in his right eye. Here are some highlights from the report:
We have been informed that my father, Imran Khan, has lost most of the vision in his right eye, with reports indicating only 15% eyesight remains. This is the direct consequence of 922 days of solitary confinement, medical neglect (denied blood tests) and the deliberate denial of proper treatment in jail.
The responsibility lies squarely with the regime in power, the Army Chief and the puppets enabling this cruelty. This physical deterioration is happening under their orders, their watch and their responsibility. They have manipulated and warped the justice system in order to keep my father in solitary confinement.
My brother and I are still being denied visas to see our father as his health deteriorates. History will record this injustice.
We urge human rights bodies, legal institutions and democratic nations to confront this persecution and ensure those responsible face consequences.
🚨 BIG UPDATE ON PAKISTAN'S IMRAN KHAN BY VIKRANT GUPTA 🚨
"The Man Who Saw (Cricket’s) Tomorrow, Imran Khan has lost his vision in the jail. They say his vision is now only 15 percent and that’s such a sad story."
What's happening with Imran Khan in Jail, Can anyone?🧐
#Pakistan: Imran Khans solitary confinement and inhumane detention conditions must end - UN expert. Prolonged or indefinite solitary confinement is prohibited under int'l human rights law – and when it extends longer than 15 days, it's a form of #torture.

Kasim and Sulaiman Khan, British and Pakistani citizens and sons of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, have said they were advised by the UK government not to travel to Pakistan and that they would not receive support if they are arrested. The sons have not seen their father for over three years, and haven’t been allowed to speak to him over the phone for months by General Asim Munir’s government. The advisory by the British authorities comes even as Rana Sanullah a senior government official, whose human rights violations are well documented, said publicly that the children could be arrested on their arrival.
Can The British High Commissioner in Islamabad, @JaneMarriottUK who frequently engages with the military regime and its ministers clarify why such advice has been given to the sons of a former Prime Minister who want to see their father?
Imran Khan's sons told Sky's lead world presenter @SkyYaldaHakim, that Pakistan was "sliding towards a military dictatorship" while discussing their father's imprisonment.
Sulaiman and Kasim Khan told Yalda Hakim they were unsure if they'd ever see their father again.
My full interview with Kasim and Sulaiman Khan is out now on YouTube.
We spoke about their childhoods, what Imran was like as a father, as well as what they now want from the international community. And I ask, do they ever think they’ll see their father again?

This is deeply painful for everyone who cares about #Pakistan, a beloved political leader strong-armed without mercy, a judiciary rendered ineffective, and the devastating global perception this creates of our country wherever we go
#ImranKhanOurHero
@ImranKhanPTI's sons speak to @SkyNews about their father's prison conditions in #Pakistan. Pakistanis and the International community should be appalled. I am.

My first cricket hero was Imran Khan. growing up in the late 1990s, I insisted my younger nephews and nieces call me Imran Khan instead of my real name, Mitchell Starc

“Asim Munir is a mentally unstable person whose moral degradation has led to the complete collapse of the Constitution and the rule of law in Pakistan, leaving the fundamental human rights of every Pakistani unprotected.
My wife and I have been imprisoned on fabricated charges at his command, and we are being subjected to severe psychological torment. I have been completely isolated in a cell, placed in solitary confinement. For four weeks I was not permitted to see a single human being, and I was kept entirely cut off from the outside world. Even the basic necessities guaranteed under the jail manual have been denied to us.
Despite the orders of the High Court, first my meetings with my political colleagues were prohibited, and now even my meetings with my lawyers and family have been stopped. Any human rights charter will show that psychological torture is classified as 'torture', and it is regarded as even more severe than physical abuse.
My sister Noreen Niazi was dragged on the road simply because she demanded her rightful meeting with me. Only a man like Asim Munir could sanction such conduct. He has imprisoned Dr. Yasmin Rashid, an elderly cancer survivor, purely out of political vengeance. My wife, Bushra Begum, has been imprisoned only to exert pressure on me. Even her children are not allowed to meet her, and she has been deprived of all facilities. These examples reveal the character and mental disposition of this man.
Enduring solitary confinement is extremely painful, but I am bearing it only for the sake of my nation. Until the nation itself breaks the chains of slavery, the mafias imposed on Pakistan will continue to exploit it. The extension mafia, land mafia, sugar mafia, and mandate-thief mafia will keep this nation enslaved until the people themselves rise. Today you are their slaves; your future generations will be slaves to their generations. If you want to break this cycle, the nation must break the chains of enslavement itself and stand up for Haqeeqi Azadi (genuine freedom).
There is no place in my party for those who play on both sides of the wicket. Such people are the ‘Mir Sadiq’ and ‘Mir Jafar’ of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. The participation of PTI individuals in the NDU workshop is shameful. On one hand, we are enduring all kinds of hardships, and on the other hand, when our own people socialise with those who oppress us, it causes me deep pain.
I have always stated that drone attacks and military operations on our own people only fuels terrorism. Asim Munir’s policies are disastrous for this country. It is because of his policies that the scourge of terrorism has spiraled out of control, which deeply grieves me. He has no regard for the interests of his own nation. Whatever he is doing is merely to please the Western world. He deliberately ignited tensions with Afghanistan seeking to portray himself internationally as a ‘mujahid’ (warrior). He first threatened Afghans, then expelled refugees by force, and conducted drone strikes on them; the consequences of which came in the form of rising terrorism inside Pakistan. This man has sacrificed the country to terrorism for his own personal interests.
Sohail Afridi is commendable because he chose resistance over reconciliation during repressive times. My message to Sohail Afridi is to continue playing on the front foot. There is no law or constitution in this country. The law is invoked only against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf; everyone else remains exempt. Whatever Sohail Afridi is doing, he should continue. He has my full support.
As for those issuing threats of Governor’s Rule: impose it right away instead of waiting, and then see consequences for themselves!
Conversation with his sister by the unjustly imprisoned former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, after one month of solitary confinement in Adiala Jail (December 2, 2025) 1/2
Aleema Khanum, sister of Imran Khan, claims that her brother represents 90% of the people of Pakistan so by isolating him they are suppressing the people of Pakistan.

A new statement issued by @UNHumanRights says that “Sweeping immunity provisions in the 27th amendment undermine accountability which is a cornerstone of the human rights framework and democratic control of the armed forces under the rule of law,”
My father, Imran Khan, is in prison because he stood up for democracy. He is held in solitary confinement, denied access to his doctors, and restricted from meeting his lawyers and family. At the same time, members of his family and thousands of his supporters have been abducted or dragged before military courts. This is not justice - it is political revenge. Pakistan’s democracy is at stake, and I call on all who believe in human rights and democracy to stand with us so that the people’s voice is heard and the rule of law is restored.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Conversation with his Family and Lawyers at Adiala Jail - 15 July 2025:
"There is absolutely no question of bowing down, even if I have to spend my entire life in prison. I convey this same message to the people of Pakistan: under no circumstances should you submit to this tyrannical system.
The time for negotiations has passed. What remains now is the time for the nation to rise in protest.
Hardships inflicted upon me in jail have intensified in recent days. The same is true for my wife, Bushra Bibi, who is also facing increasing restrictions. The television in her cell has been shut down. All fundamental human rights and basic prisoner entitlements, both mine and hers, have been suspended. This must be accounted for.
I am fully aware that a certain Colonel and Jail Superintendent Anjum are carrying out these actions at the behest of Asim Munir.
I issue a clear directive to my party: if any harm comes to me while I remain imprisoned, Asim Munir must be held accountable.
Bushra Bibi is being subjected to this cruelty because, during my tenure, after Asim Munir was removed from his position, he sent her a message through Zulfi Bukhari requesting a meeting, which she categorically declined. Since then, he has targeted her with continuous retribution. From day one, it has been his deliberate strategy to break my will by tormenting her.
In the very jail where I am being held under inhumane conditions, terrorists and known murderers of hundreds of Pakistanis enjoy better treatment. A military officer named Rizwan is being held in the lap of luxury, while every form of cruelty is inflicted upon me. No matter what they do, I did not bow before this oppression before, nor will I do so now.
Under the oppressive watch of Maryam Nawaz and Mohsin Naqvi in Punjab, fascism has taken root for the past two years, extinguishing democracy and crushing all political activity. The arrival of elected representatives in Punjab in the form of a political caravan, in such an environment is a welcome development.
At this time, many, including myself, are enduring some of the harshest imprisonments. Therefore, I direct every member of the party to put aside all personal grievances. Publicly airing internal matters or individual concerns before the media is entirely unacceptable. My instruction is firm: whether a senior officeholder or a junior member, no one is to express internal differences on social media, electronic media, print media, or any other platform. Focus exclusively on the protest movement so that fundamental human rights are restored in Pakistan. If any party official fails to participate in this movement, I will make the final decision about them myself, even from within jail.
I instruct all party members and office-bearers to personally retweet my messages on Twitter (now X), and ensure they are shared as extensively as possible.
The party should decide on nominations for the Senate tickets through mutual consultation."
