12-year-old Muslim girl raped, murdered and her body thrown in a pond.

On Saturday evening, a 12-year-old Muslim girl from Baruipur in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal left her home to buy food items but did not return. Her family alleged that four people forcibly took her away.

On Sunday morning, her body was recovered from a pond near her house. The relatives claimed that the girl was gang-raped and then murdered, and her body was thrown into the pond.

According to reports, the police have arrested two suspects in connection with the case:
Shantanu Mandal, described in media as a local BJP worker,
and one other accused, whose name has not been clearly disclosed in most reports.
Another suspect, identified in your note as Indrajit Tanti, was beaten to death by an angry crowd after being taken into custody or while being moved by police. The search for the remaining accused is ongoing.

🇮🇱 Israel just dropped sexual abuse charges against 5 soldiers accused of gang-raping and torturing a Palestinian detainee at Sde Teiman prison.

Back in July 2024, a leaked video showed the brutal assault (anal rape with objects, severe beating). Medical reports confirmed anal trauma, broken ribs, etc.

Military police investigated and recommended prosecution.

The detainee testified and evidence looked solid.

Then suddenly the military prosecutor says “insufficient evidence” and “reasonable doubt.”

The soldiers were released months ago and are back on active duty.

Public reaction in Israel? Basically crickets.

This isn’t “a few bad apples.”

This is a system protecting its own while telling the victim to fuck off.

Disgusting doesn’t even begin to cover it.

In Lakhimpur, a serious case of alleged medical negligence has come to light. At Vatsalya Maternity and Child Nursing Home, a young girl underwent abdominal surgery that her family claims was performed carelessly.

After the operation, the child was unable to pass stool and remained admitted at the hospital for five days, during which the family says they were charged ₹1.5 lakh. Later, the hospital referred the patient elsewhere.

The mother then spent three days in Lucknow, going from one hospital to another in an attempt to get her daughter admitted. However, the child’s condition reportedly became so critical that no hospital was willing to take responsibility for treatment.

The distressed mother, crying and pleading for help, has been moving from place to place with her daughter. She has now approached the police station to report the incident and seek justice.
