Alhamdulillāh, extensive work has been completed over the summer, including a full refurbishment of the men’s musallā: ceiling, lighting, replastering, painting, complete rewiring, wall tiles and more.

The Masjid is currently running at a deficit of approximately £25,000.

🎙️ Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb ḥafidhahullāh.

📝 - {And those who avoid the greater sins, and Al-Fawahish, and when they are angry, they forgive} [Ash-Shūrā: 37].
- Dealing with anger.
- The characteristics of the believer.
- The advice of the Prophet ﷺ: “Do not get angry!”
- The ḥadith wherein the Prophet ﷺ advised the individual: “Do not become angry!”
- Guidance to that which leads to entry into Paradise.
- We will have accountability for all our actions.
- Judging in affairs whilst you’re angry.
- The origin of dispraise-worthy anger.
- The advice of the Shaytān.
- The cure when anger strikes an individual.
- Knowledge before speech and action.
- The one who is truly “strong”.
- The one who suppresses his anger for the sake of Allāh.

🗻 The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said about Uhud:

“This is a mountain which loves us and we love it.” — Sahih al-Bukhari

It was a nice opportunity for the group to see Uhud first-hand and reflect on some of the events that took place there during the lifetime of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.

During our days in Madinah, the brothers were able to visit the Islamic University of Madinah, where they were given a tour of the different faculties across the campus and the university masjid. They stopped by the Islamic bookstore, taking the opportunity to pick up some beneficial books and add to their libraries, alhamdulillaah.

Our sisters enjoyed some time out together, visiting the abaya souqs and spending time with one another. They experienced Shaari‘ Quba, travelling along the route on the buggies; and enjoyed the atmosphere of Madinah together in the new Global Food Village.

Alhamdulillaah, it was another enjoyable and beneficial day for the group. May Allaah make these experiences a source of lasting benefit for us all.
