Message from Former Prime Minister, Imran Khan

After keeping me and my wife in jail for a year, the Prosecutor General has admitted in the High Court that there was a mistrial in the ToshaKhana (Gift Repository) case, and that the requirements of justice were not observed. This is an admission of political vengeance by the Mafia who are holding the state hostage and using NAB for victimisation. It is a big question mark on our judicial system. Following this admission, I demand the resignations of the Chairman NAB, the Prosecutor General, and the investigation officers, and the relevant judges. Disciplinary action must be taken against them for the mistrial of the country's most popular leader at the behest of the occupying mafia.

I was sentenced in five frivolous cases in an equally ridiculous manner and two more bogus trials are speedily being conducted so that I can be detracted from the movement for genuine sovereignty, democracy, and rule of law. But I will continue the fight for the genuine freedom of Pakistanis until the very last drop of my blood!

Following the passing of the 26th Constitutional Amendment, the High Court and the Supreme Court have become no more than kangaroo courts, and their status now is similar to any government department. By curbing the power of the judiciary, the country’s already corrupt judicial system will come to a complete stand still. It is said that democracy is in danger. But is there any democracy left in the country? Democracy means liberty, rule of law, and the free provision of justice. Democracy in the country has been annihilated. The country has been turned into a Banana Republic!

This is why I am calling upon the Pakistani nation, that this is the time, to not only come out on November 24, but for every individual to take on the responsibility to launch a movement for mass mobilization. Through this movement will the dream of genuine freedom, democracy, and rule of law be realized. Otherwise, life-long slavery will remain the nation’s destiny.

If not now, then when? If not you, then who?

24 نومبر کو تمام نوجوان خصوصاً طلبأ و طالبات اپنے حقوق کے لیے ہمارے ساتھ نکلیں کیونکہ اب اس ملک میں نوجوانوں کا مستقبل شدید خطرے میں ہے-“

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan's message to the Pakistani nation from Adiala Jail

My Pakistanis! I have sacrificed everything I could for the sake of the country and the nation, and God willing, I will continue to fight for your true freedom until the very last drop of my blood. But this is not Imran Khan’s fight alone. It is the struggle for the entire nation. Our future generations will not forgive us if we do not stand against this oppression today - the time has come to end the system of oppression with the power of the people, God willing. Today I am giving the final call for protest. You all have to reach Islamabad on November 24.

An undeclared Martial Law has been imposed for the next ten years through the 26th Amendment. The country has a phony parliament, a fraudulent prime minister, a fraudulent president, and a sham of a democracy. A dictatorship more terrifying than that of General Musharraf is in place at present. Rule of law, democracy, freedom, and the future of the country has been demolished.

The fraudulent government who has stolen the mandate with the help of its facilitators and is running the country through a mafia that has imposed a fascist system, who continually attack the Constitution, law, and the judiciary, the government that has imprisoned our innocent people, I wish to tell them that the nation does not approve of any of this!

The PTI leadership will lead the protest on November 24. I have provided the party leaders with a comprehensive plan of action. I have formed a committee who has the authority to lead the protest and decide when to end it. Negotiations will be held by this committee whenever and with whomever the “handlers” (Establishment) choose.

My directive to my party leadership is to comprehensively plan for the protest and to thoroughly brief the people of their constituencies for a vigorous but peaceful protest.

Not only is this protest a test for the party leaders, members of the assemblies, ticket holders, administrators, provincial and local organizations, but it is also a test for people from all walks of life. I ask every member of the society, including the business community, civil society, legal community, farmers, hawkers, and salaried class, to come to Islamabad. My youth, the students whose future is especially at stake, I ask that you actively participate in this movement. My message to my Pakistanis who live overseas is to vigorously participate in the worldwide protests and also to fully participate in the funding of the party, for the sake of the country’s future.

I have utmost faith in my nation, and I predict that all of Pakistan will reach Islamabad on November 24, and that this sea of people will sweep away every obstacle and container that tries to obstruct its path. The entire nation will stand as one to echo the following demands:

•The 26th Amendment be declared null and void and the Constitution be restored to its original state.
•Return of the stolen mandate.
•The release of all political prisoners who are being held without trial.

My Pakistanis, this time we will not leave until all our demands are met!

چھبیسویں آئینی ترمیم کے ذریعے 10 سال کیلئے غیر اعلانیہ مارشل لاء لگا دیا گیا ہے۔ ملک میں بوگس پارلیمنٹ، بوگس وزیراعظم، بوگس صدر اور بوگس جمہوریت ہے۔ اس وقت جنرل مشرف سے زیادہ خوفناک ڈکٹیٹر شپ قائم ہے۔ قانون کی بالادستی جمہوریت ازادی اور ملک کے مستقبل کو ختم کر دیا گیا ہے۔

اپنے سہولت کاروں کی مدد سے مینڈیٹ چوری کر کے ملک پر قابض مافیا کے زیر انتظام جاری فسطائیت کے نظام، آئین و قانون اور عدلیہ پر مسلسل حملوں، ہمارے بے گناہ لوگوں کو زندان میں میں ڈالنے والی جعلی حکومت کو بتانا ہو گا کہ قوم کو یہ سب نامنظور ہے۔

24 نومبر کے احتجاج کی قیادت تحریک انصاف لیڈرشپ کرے گی۔ میں نے پارٹی رہنماؤں کو جامع احتجاجی پلان دے دیا ہے۔ میں نے ایک کمیٹی تشکیل دی ہے، احتجاج کو لیڈ کرنے اور ختم کرنے کا اختیار اس کمیٹی کے پاس ہوگا۔ مذاکرات جب کرنے ہونگے جس سے بھی کرنے ہوں گے، ہینڈلرز جس کسی کو آگے کریں گے ہماری کمیٹی ان سے مذاکرات کرے گی-

میں اپنی پارٹی قیادت کو یہ ہدایت کرتا ہوں کہ احتجاج کی جامع منصوبہ بندی کریں اور اپنے حلقے کے لوگوں کو اس کے حوالے سے مکمل آگہی دے کر ایک بھرپور لیکن پرامن احتجاج کے لیے تیار کریں۔

جہاں یہ احتجاج پارٹی لیڈرز، ممبران اسمبلی، ٹکٹ ہولڈرز، ناظمین، اور صوبائی و مقامی تنظیموں کا امتحان ہے، وہیں یہ ہر طبقۂ فکر سے تعلق رکھنے والے عام آدمی کا بھی امتحان ہے۔ میں ہر طبقے بشمول اپنے کاروباری طبقے، سول سوسائٹی، قانونی برادری، کسانوں، ریڑھی بانوں، تنخواہ دار طبقے سے کہتا ہوں کہ اسلام آباد پہنچیں۔ میرے نوجوان اور طلباء، جن کا مستقبل بالخصوص داؤ پر ہے، ان کو یہ ہدایت دینا چاہتا ہوں کہ آپ نے اس تحریک میں بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لینا ہے۔ اپنے بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کو بھی میرا یہ پیغام ہے کہ قوم کے مستقبل کی خاطر دنیا بھر میں احتجاج کا حصہ بنیں اور پارٹی کی فنڈنگ میں بھی بھرپور حصہ لیں-

مجھے اپنی قوم پر مکمل بھروسہ ہے اور میں یہ پیشنگوئی کر رہا ہوں کہ 24 نومبر کو پورا پاکستان اسلام آباد پہنچے گا اور عوام کا سمندر ہر رکاوٹ اور کنٹینر کو بہا لے جائے گا۔ اس دن یک زبان ہو کر پوری قوم کے یہی مطالبات ہوں گے:
- چھبیسویں آئینی ترمیم کالعدم قرار دے کر آئین کو اپنی پرانی حالت میں بحال کیا جائے
- ⁠ چوری شدہ مینڈیٹ کی واپسی
- ⁠بغیر ٹرائل گرفتار سیاسی قیدیوں کی رہائی

میرے پاکستانیو، اب کی بار ہم نے اپنے مطالبات کی منظوری تک واپس نہیں لوٹنا”
