After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.

I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.

It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.

The confirmed record: Feb 28 — Terminal 3 directly struck, four staff injured, evacuated. March 7... drone barely missed Concourse A.

March 16 — Terminal 3, fuel tank hit, fire burned for over twelve hours, flights suspended for seven hours, the longest halt since the war began. Emirates diverted flights to Abu Dhabi and Al Maktoum. Foreign airlines banned from landing. And now tonight explosions shaking the airport again.

Iran has fired more than 300 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,627 drones at the UAE since February 28. The UAE normalised relations with Israel in 2020 and leases it's land for American Israeli war infrastructure. They’re paying for that decision one strike at a time.
