PS: The overlap with Alvara goes a lot further than simply “put 46 assets in a basket” 👇
I. Tokenize the portfolio itself
ERC-7621 lets you wrap a multi asset strategy into a BSKT, so the portfolio exists as one onchain product with a proper dashboard and every bit of info you could need, instead of dozens of positions people have to recreate themselves.
II. It’s not a fund
Alvara isn’t taking custody, pooling money or deciding what belongs in the portfolio. A BSKT is a wrapper around the assets and strategy its creator defines. The BSKT Lab is 100% non custodial.
Users keep control of their wallets and assets throughout. The Lab is simply the tooling for building and managing the strategy.
III. Followers can EASILY invest in the strategy
Instead of reading someone’s portfolio breakdown and manually buying 46 different assets in the right proportions, they can get exposure to the BSKT itself or clone the composition and make their own version.
IV. The allocation comes with it
Equal weight, sector weight, conviction weight or whatever the thesis calls for. The creator defines the composition once, and followers don’t have to reconstruct it from scratch.
V. There’s an API
Basket data, composition, performance and the rest of the useful stuff can be pulled from the API, so this doesn’t have to live inside one interface. Other apps, dashboards and tools can easily build around BSKTs too.
VI. There’s already an MCP for agents.
Agents can pull basket composition, NAV, TVL, performance, fees, token data and more directly from Alvara.
Agents can also help manage the strategy.
They can prepare deposits, redemptions and rebalances, with checks around things like slippage, concentration and turnover before anything is signed.
The MCP doesn't hold keys or funds. It prepares the transaction, then the user reviews and signs it from their own wallet.
And it already works across Ethereum and Base (+more chains in close future) so when @jvisserlabs talks about a tokenized portfolio, an investment dashboard and agents handling dozens of positions as one strategy...
A lot of that infrastructure already exists 🧺

Worth a conversation, Jordi 👀
The platform took another big step forward. Here’s the recap of this week's WENSday updates 👇
→ Legacy upgrades are live:
Existing ETH baskets can now move to V2 through the new upgrade flow. Performance history carries across, so the upgraded BSKT keeps its existing price and TVL record instead of starting from zero. The creation fee is waived until 15 October, and the legacy withdrawal fee paid during the move is refunded.
→ What changes on 15 October:
The fee waiver ends, and baskets that stay on legacy will no longer be eligible for gauge voting rewards. The upgrade path itself stays open after that date, with the standard fee applying.
→ V2 is the path forward:
Legacy baskets can still hold assets and allow withdrawals, but new deposits, rebalancing and ETH withdrawals run through V2. Future Ethereum releases will build on V2 too, so managers can keep legacy around or move forward with the upgraded version.
→ Create from Portfolio:
Managers can now create a basket directly from ERC-20s already sitting in their wallet. The basket weights are calculated from the amounts contributed, so there is no need to sell everything back into ETH and then buy the same assets again inside the basket.
→ V2 fees and execution checks:
The current V2 fee build will reach existing baskets through an inplace upgrade, so managers will not need to move the same basket again and LP holders keep their position. Deposit, redeem, create and rebalance flows also now show price impact before confirmation, checked per token against the tolerance set.
→ Gauge voting automation:
Gauge rounds are being moved onto a fully scheduled system, opening and closing automatically
$35B in tokenized traditional assets onchain.
The supply side is no longer the bottleneck.
The next bottleneck is what people can actually do with those assets once they’re there 👀

What can you build on the Polkadot Products Devnet?
A universal tool anyone can use? Sure, that's possible.
But you can also start with something only useful to you. Unique, unexpected, maybe not interesting to anyone else at first glance. And then it turns out way more useful and inspiring than you thought.
Industrial applications, marketplaces, analytics, educational tools.

Diversification is one of the simplest ways to make a portfolio more resilient over time.
A custom BSKT 🧺 lets you turn that allocation into a single verifiable token, so the strategy stays intact without managing every position separately 🧠
Build yours → https://t.co/FtGshtdB9K
Stop thinking about the technology for a second and ask a simpler question: who owns your account and your data, and who controls what you get to see?
Right now, usually the platform.
Polkadot swings that needle back to you.
Standards scale industries.
ERC-20 made tokens.
ERC-721 made NFTs.
ERC-7621 is the attempt to do the same for multi asset portfolios.
One shared format instead of a thousand custom wrappers 🧺
If you can use a crypto wallet you already have the skill set.
The only missing piece was infrastructure that lets you package that skill into something others can allocate to
That’s what a BSKT is 🧺

The interesting part of this isn't just having more assets to buy.
It’s what can be built from them.
Treasuries, equities, stables and crypto no longer have to remain separate exposures. They can become parts of the same basket, built and weighted around a specific thesis 👀
That opens up a lot of room for what BSKTs could become🧺
“Investable assets” are starting to mean a lot more than stocks and crypto.
As more of these markets get tokenized, portfolios are going to get a lot stranger 🤔
Good thing is, ERC-7621 was built for that kind of world 🧺
We went from a few isolated coins to millions of tokens flooding every chain.
Launching assets is dead simple now but dealing with the resulting chaos in your wallet is not.
ERC 7621 fixes that 🔧
