The current trend of even Hindu organisations, mathas and traditional institutions adopting the "Montessori" label for their schools creates a fundamental dissonance. We risk diluting our heritage and confusing the next generation about the true nature of India's pedagogical excellence.
If we truly want to nurture children who are grounded in their roots while remaining globally capable, we must stop rebranding our own brilliance as with other labels. It is time to reclaim and institutionalize an IKS-based framework—one that integrates play, character building, and intellectual rigor, designed specifically for the Indian ethos. Today = 0 time for inner growth, 10 hours of work, weekend ‘outward’ happiness.
Once you start investing = 1–2 hours for self-growth, 6 hours of high-energy work, everyday happiness.
Maybe inner growth is not a trade-off with work.
Maybe it is what makes work easier.
Most of the time, we see investment in ourselves as a trade-off with office work.
What I have realised in recent times is that the fallacy is seeing this as a zero-sum game.
We will never find that 1 hour to do our exercise, yoga, or pranayama.
