@anthonygore@camiinthisthang Furthermore, ai will always produce a degree of slop and you would need a technical person to identify that if you want optimal results.
@anthonygore@camiinthisthang No, ai requires tokens to work efficiently, therefore a non technical person will need to spend more to achieve the same output as the technical person. This will limit the quality of work different companies produce and is also why prompt engineering is a skill. 1/2
@Itstheanurag@ParamSiddh This goes against the drivers instinct, in a real scenario the driver would try to save himself furthermore, self-driving cars would not get sales if this was programmed into it. It goes against the idea that cars are engineered to be safe for the driver. 1/2
@suraj_sharma14 Because using AI is not the job of the engineer it's just a tool that makes your work more efficient.
If the ai breaks, it's the swe's job to fix it and that requires them to understand things from first principles. Leetcode helps with that.
This paragraph by Richard Feynman hits so hard:
“Fall in love with some activity, and do it! Nobody ever figures out what life is all about, and it doesn’t matter. Explore the world. Nearly everything is really interesting if you go into it deeply enough. Work as hard and as much as you want to on the things you like to do the best. Don’t think about what you want to be, but what you want to do. Keep up some kind of a minimum with other things so that society doesn’t stop you from doing anything at all.”
@eleonorapopowa@readswithravi Mahatma ghandi once said, "Man is the maker of his own destiny", and it makes me think how many self-imposed psychological issues prevent us from living.
