@twelvebarsjazz @bcbradio Thankyou Carole! It was an absolute joy being at the institution that is @bcbradio where I got to be around change making women such as yourself and our @MaryDowson #IWD2019 @Common_WealthHQ @SpeakersCornerC

[Saliha @saliharubani]

My heart is full. The women & girls that have been a part of @wow_bradford fill me with so much love & hope. I’ll be eternally grateful to the women & men of this mad beautiful city that have helped shape the festival, making me laugh cry & learn. Thankyou ♥️

[Saliha @saliharubani]

@EvieManning There’s a huge difference between how WOC in positions of leadership are treated. We don’t have the networks & are perceived to not benefit women in power & so aren’t seen as important! You ain’t never gonna have the experiences that I have! Address your discomfort and say hello!

[Saliha @saliharubani]

@EvieManning It’s so important that people in power and particularly white women acknowledge the achievements of WOC- not for our egos but to address the fact that it’s been even harder for us to get to those positions than our white counterparts.

[Dr. Peninah Wangari-J @peninahwangarij]

BRADFORD should recognise inspiring wholesome leaders who drive action with compassion& kindness. Those who love the city and the people in it- from all walks of life.
I can name at least 40 amazing individuals in this region .. I don’t need to top 100 list!!

[Saliha @saliharubani]

So much love and gratitude for @ainajkhan for sharing the work that @SpeakersCornerC and @WOW_Bradford have done to help other young women with their body positivity campaign. @jacklynch always behind the scenes, pushing to get the campaign recognised to a wider audience 🧡

[Aina J. Khan | عین جبین خان @ainajkhan]

Such a joy coming back to @WOW_Bradford for a third year where I chaired a discussion on women-led campaigns here in the UK and the structural and institutional barriers in place that forever place a seemingly impenetrable glass ceiling for women and WOC especially to shatter.

[jack lynch @jacklynch]

Everyone saying they don’t like how racist this country has become- THIS COUNTRY IS BUILT ON RACISM! It’s always been racist. Only difference is now the racists have phones. Stop sharing the video, stop inviting them on to tv programmes, stop voting for them, stop ignoring it
