Go and learn something that can actually add money to your name.
Keep your problems smaller than your life. A flat tire is a flat tire. A bad meeting is a bad meeting. A canceled flight is just an extra two hours. These things become catastrophes when you let them. But they stay manageable when you remember the depth of your real life- the people you love, the work you care about, the beautiful years still ahead. Zoom out. Fit your reaction to the size of the problem.
Today I learned something new from a professor from Indonesia.
He saw me eating Indomie and asked, "Do you know Indomie is from Indonesia?"
I said NO, then he said:
"Indo" stands for Indonesia, and "Mie" means noodles in Indonesian.
So, Indomie literally means "Indonesian noodles."
I found that fascinating. We truly learn something new every day!

@biodagreatman@kharleeel1@BashirElRufai@Waspapping_ Exactly: they start from the conclusion and work backwards.
That's why the answers are always scenarios and never names (a scenario only has to be imaginable, a company has to exist).
Reverence for the man became a substitute for evidence about the office.
@kharleeel1@biodagreatman@BashirElRufai@Waspapping_ A data analyst can out-earn a senator. Agreed.
But Pantami wasn’t freelancing, a full-time public officer is barred from any private business, profession or trade. Fifth Schedule, Part I, para 2(b).
You’re describing income he wasn’t even permitted to earn.
@kharleeel1@biodagreatman@BashirElRufai@Waspapping_ I’m not prosecuting anyone.
You said his wealth was explainable by tech earnings. I pointed out the law says it has to be explained with records, not possibilities.
“Go to the EFCC” isn’t a defence of him. It’s you leaving the argument.
@kharleeel1@biodagreatman@BashirElRufai@Waspapping_ Assets are declared to the CCB on entry and exit. And Fifth Schedule, para 11(3): property not fairly attributable to approved income is deemed acquired in breach unless the contrary is proved.
The burden isn’t on us to imagine how he earned it. It’s on him to prove he did.
@kharleeel1@biodagreatman@BashirElRufai@Waspapping_ What he could earn at Meta is not what he earned at NITDA. He never worked at Meta.
Public service salaries are published. Nobody asked what his market value is, they asked what his payslip was.
Also, “equivalent to senior staff at Meta” isn’t a title anyone can issue.
When Carl Jung said:
“No matter how isolated you are and how lonely you feel, if you do your work truly and conscientiously, unknown allies will come and seek you.”
