Forgive when you can.
Learn from what happened.
Set your boundaries and keep moving forward.
You deserve to live in the present, not remain trapped in what happened in the past.
Remember, you also make mistakes.
You've hurt people, knowingly or unknowingly, and you've needed Allah's forgiveness too.
So learn to give people the forgiveness you hope Allah gives you.
Sometimes, moving on means accepting that you won't get the explanation you wanted.
You won't always get closure from people.
Sometimes, you have to find peace without it.
And don't carry every mistake someone made against you into every new relationship.
Not everyone you meet is responsible for what someone else did.
Give people a chance to show you who they are.
Forgive, but learn the lesson.
You can forgive someone and still create boundaries.
You can wish them well and still choose not to have them in your life.
You don't have to wait for an apology before you start healing.
Some people may never admit they were wrong.
Don't allow their refusal to apologise to keep you trapped in the past.
Allah says:
وَلْيَعْفُوا وَلْيَصْفَحُوا ۗ أَلَا تُحِبُّونَ أَن يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ
"Let them pardon and overlook. Would you not love for Allah to forgive you?" {Qur'an 24:22}
Sometimes, forgiveness is simply choosing peace over anger.
Choosing not to spend every day thinking about what someone did to you.
Choosing to let Allah handle what you cannot change.
Forgiving someone doesn't mean what they did was okay.
It doesn't mean you have to forget what happened.
And it doesn't mean you have to let them hurt you again.
Learn to Forgive and Move On.
People will hurt you.
Sometimes intentionally, sometimes without even realising it.
But holding on to that pain forever will only keep you stuck.
One day, the things that seem so important now won't matter anymore.
Your wealth, appearance, status, and possessions will all be left behind.
What will remain is what you sent ahead for the Hereafter.
The goal isn't to completely abandon the dunya.
It's to keep it in your hands without allowing it to take over your heart.
Work for this life, but prepare for the next.
Enjoy the blessings Allah has given you.
But remember who gave them to you.
Use what you have in a way that brings you closer to Him, not further away from Him.
Don't let money become more important than your prayers.
Don't let your goals make you forget Allah.
Don't let your desire for success make you compromise your deen.
Sometimes, we spend so much time building a life here that we forget to prepare for the life that comes after it.
We worry about our future in this world, but rarely think about our future in the Hereafter.
Allah says:
وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ
"And the life of this world is nothing but the enjoyment of delusion." {Qur'an 3:185}
