@CrazyMuseumMum Thank you! I haven’t posted much lately. The first few months with a baby and a toddler were wild. WILD. Feel like I can string a sentence together again now. xx

On #IWD2023 I asked my 2.5 year old kid…
‘What does Daddy do at work?’
His reply ‘Paintings’ (Yes. He photographs paintings).
‘What does Mummy do at work?’
His reply ‘Cleaning up’ 🤣
@ThatAnnaLass Baby jail? Do you have or can you construct a makeshift playpen? I had limited success with that. Filled it with toys, kept rotating them but my kid mostly held onto the side staring at me. It’s so tough!
Somehow we’ve stumbled our way to four months old. It’s been hard which is why I’ve largely been lurking and liking with too little sleep to tweet much.
Today, with the sun out and baby sleeping without me pushing the pram (a revelation) things feel brighter.
💕 Took our boys to see @AndrewPBruce photography at the newly opened @centrebritphoto Kid wanted a snack and baby slept through it but I’m very proud. 💕
Baby sneezed. The kid ran off to his bedroom in an extreme reaction even by toddler standards. Then I hear ‘Help Mummy’. He was trying to reach tissues to wipe the baby’s nose. 💕
6 hours of driving. 2 stops. Some tears and we are back in London after a longer than planned Christmas in the north. A return delayed by illness.
Now to unpack the bag mountain we crammed in the car ‘helped’ by the kid.
Happy New Year all! We saw out 2022 with a second Christmas trip to A&E with our poorly 12 week old. Wonderful paediatric team reassured us its a bad case of congestion and sniffles.
Let 2023 be the year both kids are well at the same time for more than a day. 🤞
@kathleenmcil It’s brutal. I hope your kids are beating the bugs. Baby is most content contact napping so we’re cuddled on the sofa. I’m not complaining. Bigger kid is back at nursery after sickness. Hopefully I won’t jinx it by tweeting that! 😄
Been quiet. We are busy building our immune systems by catching ALL the lurgies.
Delirious empathy with anyone else who’s experienced throwing up all night then taken care of a baby all day.
Finally! We have dragged the government into almost the right place accepting that childcare should be seen as infrastructure and funded! It’s a start and grateful to those MPs who actually stood up to fight for investment for our kids and our economy! @PregnantScrewed
