@UKLabour@RachelReevesMP I loved Rachel’s conference speech - A joyful moment!
However, public sector wages have not been immediately addressed - NHS pay settlements gave been reached. LA wages are static.
Please do not give the impression that a problem has been solved when work has only started.
Disabled people:”We are disabled. Call us disabled people.”
Nondisabled people:”Oh no. You’re not disabled. That’s too negative. We’ll call you special, differently-abled, challenged,
handicapable. Anything you want, but not disabled.”

@THF@thegoodpush@Skateistan I love what you guys are doing. I support a man with autism, we're in the UK, and skating, and his skater friends mean everything to him. In normal times he goes to Adrenaline Alley three times every week and everyone there knows him

Co-op is creating 5000 temporary jobs for people from the hospitality sector who are suddenly out if work. This is heartening. On the other hand, Milkandmore is no longer accepting new customers, regardless of need. #patchyresponseuk

@Danwhite1972@emmalouiseHBAAE I agree dan. I also find it weird that 'they had underlying health conditions' has become the newscaster's phrase that makes it OK that somebody just died. On what planet does a health condition, or age, make it a lesser life lost?
@JanTregelles@mencap_charity Jan I have just emailed you about this at messages from Jan. I’m a Mencap support worker, supporting a guy with autism to do a job he loves at a Mencap office.
@MyAutismTeam I support four people with #autism for @mencap and a different style of working suits each man or woman.. I might sometimes think "that's sensory" or " change - that might cause worry," but those are clues - starting points really.
"It is a mistake to view autism as some type of “locked-in” syndrome in which there is a social-typical person merely masked by a few off-putting behaviors."

Feeling so good after the #YGT2018 launch on Friday. Two years ago I left a career in journalism and became a support worker and it felt so right. It just hit me - I am happier in my job than I have ever been! Thanks YGT team for the positive vibes! @mencap_charity
