At 16, Prof. Musawenkosi Donia Saurombe began her studies at NWU. By 23, she became Africa’s youngest female PhD graduate. Today she is a full professor. 💜
A remarkable story of excellence, perseverance and purpose.

I have left the podium. It is time to make my way home, to the margin is where I shall remain, delirious with possibility and dignity. It's not much, but everything I have, I had and carved, and resisted, I put it all into these six years. Although I can’t tell you when, I can’t tell you how, but the people of the world win! They win against exclusion, intimidation, racism, ableism, poverty, scarcity, criminalisation, stigmatisation. Dignity wins!
This present moment, though fleeting, is the only tangible moment I carry with me
forward.
This has been an honour of a lifetime. Ke a leboha.

The developing #Cartrack tragedy should force a national conversation about employee leave rights. No employee should have to choose between their job and a family emergency, personal crisis, or their own wellbeing💔
One thing about adulthood that way too many people learn way too late (and have no choice but to learn the hard way): you have to be deliberate/proactive about everything. For the first time in your life, you can't be passive participant in anything.
We are proud to celebrate Shirley Machaba, Chartered Director SA®, on her appointment to the Board of @TigerBrands as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
Congratulations, Shirley. We wish you every success in this new role.
Thank you for the acknowledgement. As I always say, "You cannot be what you cannot see." I'm always elated to hear that through the #FeliciaShow we were able to make one little girl or boy to dream big. They always tell me when I meet them. Mission accomplished! Let's reminisce.
