Two weeks ago, I facilitated their team offsite in Amersfoort. Phones away, labels down, big questions asked:
Why do you do this work? Where’s the spark?

When finance becomes a force for fairness.
Over the past months, I’ve worked with The Currency Exchange Fund (TCX): an institution that protects borrowers in frontier markets from currency risks. Hedging, exchange rates, but also profoundly human.
As we go to an age where AI is writing more and more, I’ve seen how going back to analogue has reawakened my inner voice and not lean too much on generated ideas.
Last night, as I woke up, I started writing, pen and paper, with candlelight to guide my pen.
My thoughts were quiet, and my writing was slow. I wrote about an event that changed my life recently.
Of late I often return to my loyal notebook and a pen to write down thoughts instead of my phone or laptop. Although I get frustrated at times, I can’t write faster, and if I do, I just can’t read it anymore; I appreciate the calmness it instils.
What is an old poem, a text you repeatedly return to that you've memorised and perhaps helps you in good and bad times?
One you could recite at this moment without much effort.
Maybe, like me, you have more than one than the one that rings true for you now.

Dear friends & network, especially those working in remote teams - I would love your input 💫
I’m working on a series of what makes remote teams thrive—what works, what doesn’t, and what leaders need to do differently. If you work remotely, your experience would be golden ✨
Could you take 1 minute to answer these 5 quick questions? Your insights will help shape my upcoming series on building trust, alignment, and collaboration in remote teams. 🚀

We gain incredible insights by seeing the path they have taken, and it is precious to understand your own.
During the online DEI Course, we explore how to open up and expand your horizon within yourself and those you interact with
Avoiding misunderstandings starts with understanding our own story and listening to other people's stories. Knowing where they come from and what they've been going through puts things in perspective.
Therein, however, lies the power of becoming aware of these biases and learning how to interact more openly and effectively.

I can judge people without realising it. It is only natural, but more so, I know how important it is to bypass your bias if you want to lead and guide a team successfully.
Have you ever considered your unconscious biases?
Are you ready to step out of your comfort zone to reshape your perception of yourself and others?
I know how I am surprised and confronted with truths about how I am programmed and see the world.
