@darrenshan more. It was expensive to get them back then (they weren’t published in the U.S. yet). We had to place a special order and ship them from the U.K. I think my mom tried to get me into American books about vampires, hoping to save money, but no other stories quite did it for me.😅

@darrenshan I think my mom bought the first book(s) from some college kids who were selling them as a fundraiser. And I think they were the British editions and part of a box set, so the series was named the Saga of Darren Shan, not Cirque du Freak.
