"Sadly, it is the same in every country where salmon farms are located. There are loud voices demanding change, but without any supporting evidence, and with a total unwillingness to face those they accuse."
Can confirm.....
The case against salmon farming has simply not been made yet, argues Dr Martin Jaffa in his latest Comment column for Fish Farmer.

Good to see influential and public persons admit mistakes and correct their own record.
Like @drsanjaygupta who corrected himself about how salmon turn pink. https://t.co/lLdsYiHAGz
Great article. it was a fantastic day touring Marie-Chantal around our Tofino operations. Nice to have challenging, productive conversations around what we do and why.
It's important to keep pointing out that the remote territories where farms currently operate don't have the infrastructure to install any closed-containment farming technologies.

We quietly witness one of the worst Fraser River #sockeye returns in history. @alex4salmon predicted massive returns even though #science and many #scientists say she's been wrong for decades. At some point she owes the world a huge #apology#aquaculture#fishfarms and #lies
In comparison, here in BC with less than 70 salmon farms, still have an important impact. In 2003: $1.9 billion in economic activity, $721 million in GDP, & 7,560 jobs for Canadian workers earning wages totaling $429 million. All from less than the area of Stanley Park!
Additionally, an extensive literature review has identified overestimates of the effects of sea lice from salmon farms on wild Atlantic salmon. The study, which reviewed the Norwegian regulatory management of the salmon farming sector, also concluded that sea lice infections on farms are not associated with a measurable impact on wild salmon.
STATEMENT: BC First Nations demand apology from William Shatner and Ryan Reynolds with regards to offensive video attacking the dignity of our Nations and their members who choose to host salmon farming in our waters. @WilliamShatner@VancityReynolds
Important statement from @FNFFSBC regarding a recent video featuring @WilliamShatner and linked to @VancityReynolds.
This, instead of celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day. We support this call for an apology.
Known Dr. Globe for years. Nice that he is calling out (from years of experience) that farms on the East Coast - like in BC - do not endanger the wild salmon. In BC, Atlantic salmon are not invasive. In Atlantic Canada, where they are native, there are countless other issues. Quit the fake blame game. #aquaculture #salmon
Website looking at the collapse of both salmon and the salmon canning industry in BC. Of course well before salmon #aquaculture arrived. #wildsalmon hatcheries and habitat restoration projects all needed and started well before most people think. https://t.co/UEZ4o7xgXo
