Is your Codex limit getting exhausted WAY too quickly recently? 👀

A hidden "codex-auto-review" process appears to be consuming tokens in the background when Codex automatically reviews/approves actions.

This is happening from 7th August.

One user measured:

• 141 auto-review checks in 1 week
• ~10.4M tokens consumed
• 46 checks in 19 minutes → 6.4M tokens
• One check reportedly reached ~195K tokens

And this isn't just a random rumor OpenAI's Codex repo has multiple issues documenting "codex-auto-review" / Auto-review behavior and its underlying reviewer model.

The important part:

If you're seeing your Codex quota disappear unusually fast, check your usage logs for "codex-auto-review".

Your AI might be spending your tokens… approving your AI. 💀
