Jeanie Buss reveals the brutal truth behind the Shaq and Kobe split
" Shaq was in a contract year and he wanted... an amount of money that was legal under the CBA but it wasn't what my dad wanted to pay him."
" It came to the point where the decision was made to trade Shaq and a lot of people want to put that blame on Kobe. It wasn't, it was purely a money situation right. So if Shaq had agreed to be paid what my dad wanted to pay him, he'd have stayed."

Gilbert didn’t score all of his 60 points directly on Kobe & Kobe didn’t fully guard Gilbert until over time, as Kobe spent significantly more time guarding Caron Butler, who was an AllStar that same season. The very next time Gilbert & Kobe met, kobe guarded Gilbert, and Gilbert shot 9 for 29 & Kobe Dropped 39
This game was in Washington.Lakers won by 16 points
This is a great point by Amare Stoudemire.
A player who is greater than another has less weaknesses.
LeBron has more weaknesses than players like MJ, Kobe, Curry, Bird.
For half of LeBron's career, his shooting was a weakness. It hurt him the deeper he went into playoffs. Teams literally packed the paint and kept one defender on him, knowing they can live if he decides to shoot, but not if he enters the paint. They could also foul him knowing he's an inconsistent FT shooter. Not a good 3-point shooter. No bag to free himself consistently to generate points. A ton of deficiencies as a scorer, even though he still found ways to score.
Throughout his career, he was never the type of killer as a scorer as the other guys mentioned, which is why he always needed another killer scorer by his side to get his championships, whether it was Wade, Kyrie, or AD. In other words, he could never truly carry a team as a primary guy - he could, but those teams could only get so far.
LeBron is great, but there's levels to greatness. He could not win a title if Pippen, Wiggins, Iguodala, or Pau Gasol were his second best scorers. I'll say there's some potential with Gasol, but the other names? Forget about it.
Something to think about.
New post-credit scene from 'SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY'.
The scene reportedly shows Doctor Doom taking control of Peter Parker's mind, turning him into his own weapon. Peter is then seen wearing the black Symbiote suit, teasing a darker future and setting up his role ahead of 'AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY'.
'AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY' features a new scene where Magneto attempts to connect with Professor X across the multiverse, only to sense an unexpected presence instead.
The moment appears to tease Magneto discovering Thor, hinting at a major crossover between the X-Men and the Avengers.
Some man tried to attack a street performer in Las Vegas, but the situation quickly backfired when he reportedly tore his ACL. While paramedics treated him, the performer started singing about the incident, leaving the crowd in stitches. 😭🎤
Gilbert Arenas says players rank Kobe Bryant so highly because they judge greatness by skill, not just stats or physical gifts.
“Players don’t go by your stats or accolades. We go by how you played and what your attributes were.”
“Most of the greatest players had God-given physical gifts. Jordan had the vertical and big hands. LeBron had the body. Shaq was Shaq. Magic was a 6’9” point guard.”
“Kobe was just a standard 6’6” guard. He didn’t have big hands, he wasn’t the quickest or fastest, and his athleticism was normal.”
“What he did with that body was like taking an S500 and driving it like a Bugatti.”
“That’s what we look at. We look at the normal person fighting gods.”
Did you know when X-Men 92 aired in Japan, they comissioned a new anime-exclusive opening for it.

“I know how to stay in the league, I know how to show up on time, I know how to take coaching, I don’t get in trouble off the court, I know how to invest, I know how to do a lot of things right, and I know what NOT to do ‘cause I’ve seen it”
“For young player, If you want to stay in the league, just look around, see whose still hanging around, see who continues to get contract after contract, see whose making $5,000,000 that shouldn’t be making $5,000,000”
“You gotta maximize your earning potential”

Allen Iverson says he was so unstoppable one-on-one the NBA rewrote the rulebook to stop him and erased his signature move for good
“I remember telling my teammates, how are they gonna stop me in the NBA? Can’t run no 2-3 zone, no 1-3-1, no box-and-one, they got to play me straight up, one-on-one”
“Now, four scoring titles later, I don’t understand how a zone came back into the NBA. In the history of the NBA they never had zones”
“You got this 6-foot dude winning scoring title after scoring title. Like, all right, now let’s implement a zone. They took the hop-step out the game too because I was hopping over double teams, they can’t stop me”

Kobe Bryant drops the ultimate truth bomb on Shaquille O'Neal.
"If Shaq had your work ethic... He'd be the greatest of all time for sure... I wish he was in a gym, I would've had 12 rings!"
"This guy was a force like I have never seen... he did not care, he was mean, he was nasty, he was competitive, he was vindictive."
"I don't deal with people that don't commit at that level but then act as if they do... If you were in shape, by the time I run down on the fast break and run back... you're still coming down the first time, bro. Like, what the hell do you want me to do?"
Dwyane Wade shares his iconic Kobe Bryant story from 2008 Olympics when Kobe found out Wade was coming off the bench:
“When he heard I wasn’t starting, I’m sure he knew like ‘man this is tough for D Wade not to be starting on this team’ but he came to me right away and he eased my mind. He was like ‘when you get in the game and it’s me and you on the floor, this is what I’m gonna do. I’ll pick up 94 feet and turn these guys, once I turn them, you do what you do. So I got so many steals and so many dunks because of the unselfishness of a star in our league…. When Kobe retired from basketball, I didn’t have no one to chase anymore. I lost something in me when Kobe retired.. I felt Kobe was the only one on the level I was on as the top two guards.”
