oilers superfan mama stanley says she will no longer support the oilers in the wake of them signing alex formenton.

in an instagram post, she wrote: "With a VERY, VERY BROKEN HEART, I am making an announcement I never imagined I would have to make.

I am deeply disappointed by the Edmonton Oilers' decision to sign Alex Formenton.

Although he was acquitted in court, I cannot ignore my conscience or what this decision represents to me.

As a sexual assault survivor, I must stand by my morals and stand with the woman at the centre of this case.

I've cried in waves because I feel betrayed by an organization I have proudly loved and represented for years.

The hardest part about reading geno pushing paige past her limit is that is exactly why he is as successful as he is. Thats why his formula works and why uconn is the elite program it is.

Hard ass coaches like that understand that when a player gets to a certain point, they have two choices.. make it or break. With someone as elite as paige, I know why he did what he did. It fucking sucks reading as a fan but as someone who played hockey at a high competitive level ... this is actually a lot more normal than people think it is
