The last time we beat Dallas, we had a lineup that included CC, KM and Ty. That combo was extremely effective against them. SW did not run this combo once throughout the game. 🤷♂️😵💫
The Fever get the best version of everyone. There are two reasons for this. First is the fact that Fever games are circled on everyone’s calendar like Sophie says. Second, is that SW and her coaching team don’t research other teams well. They don’t know what disrupts other players. For example, Awak has issues with tank players. She struggled against Bri Jones when they played ATL. Our tank was on the bench the entire game. 🤷♂️
The Fever made the mistake of trying to neutralize Jess Shepard in the second half rather than solving the Awak problem. The Fever’s key strength is their offensive. Awak disrupted it. CC stopped driving. KK had to work overtime to score under the basket. AB was MIA. KM lost the drive as an option. They need to learn from this. Offense first, defense second. Yeah CC played good D, but that doesn’t win us games. We are not GSV.
@StavrosForever I hated her for swatting us like flies, but she impressed me with her sportsmanship. Many times when KM was bumped to the floor, Kuier was checking on her.
I was thinking about this and if we as fans are harsh on SW and the FO. Then I looked at the performance of the Other 9. 4 players didn’t get minutes and those that do have very inconsistent performances. The team heavily relies on the Big 3. So yes, SW has no roles for the other 9 players.
@coachandere6xa Yeah I wasn’t expecting Awak’s blocking spree to continue after the halftime break. They were being swatted like flies. I expected some change in game plan.
@cc22report This is one of the few times when the Fever lose and I’m not upset. Their shots were not clicking and Kuier made them overthink their paint shots. Shake it off and go for the next one.
@Phlob It’s a good thing she’s not going to FIBA. She can use the time to rest and recover. I think SW should give more minutes to Grace and Raven (no matter the setbacks) so all players remain healthy.
And they are playing in the Raptors’ home court. The Tempo’s home court would not have fit anything. Plus that’s the highest prices for a Tempo game and seats have been sold out for a long time now. Take note.
