A thing I often think is missing from the uni discourse is that young people who aren't from a pretty wealthy (/academic/high cultural capital) background actually have no idea what jobs there are except the quite obvious ones
This happened in Ajax guys (an area w/ the highest Black population percentage of any major Canadian city). The couple was in their 60’s at the time of the incident.
Don’t you ever for a second think that our Blackness is sheltered by age or even protected in the suburbs.
