Dear #Chennaiites#GCC requests you to avoid venturing out until the storm weakens. Nearly 65 trees have fallen down in 3hrs. #GCC is taking all measures to remove the trees. Motor pumps are used to remove water stagnation in low lying saucer shaped areas.
Heavy rains lashed western Chennai last night. The Anna Nagar–Ambattur belt continues to stand out as a rainfall hotspot, a pattern we've been seeing quite often lately. Rainfall figures from yesterday are attached below.#WestChennai#AnnaNagar#Ambattur#Ayyappakkam#chennairains
Ayapakkam has recorded 172 mm of rainfall in June 2026. @praddy06@Selwyyyyn, is there any specific reason why certain stations in the western parts of Chennai consistently receive much higher rainfall than others?
Someone had already cast a fraudulent vote in my name. I fought back and reclaimed my right, but in the end, I could only register it as a tender vote… it’s deeply disheartening. 😔 Experiencing this as an Indian feels truly shameful.
Thanks @ECISVEEP
