PR professional turned primary sch teacher - Sept 2021. All views are my own, or someone else's. Cardiff 2011 🎓 St Mary’s PGCE 2021. Animals make me happy 🐶😻
Yesterday I celebrated my PGCE graduation. A tough year (and the rest) but so glad I was able to celebrate in the sunshine with my family - and my St Mary’s fam too ❤️ Well done to everyone else who graduated and those upcoming 👩🏻🎓
New Year’s Resolution = 1. cycle to work most days (once my bike pump arrives!) 2. find more peace. 3. find more resources to support managing the day for ADHD/ASD children in my class 😊 #newterm#newyear#newteacher
Teaching trainee students started at my school this week. Made me reminisce about this time last year when I took my first placement at the school I now teach at ❤️💪 #progress#believe#ect
Had an art after school training session today. Relaxing and calming. But also learning some fundamental techniques and strategies to support art in the classroom ❤️ #ect#alwayslearning#primaryeducation
@PS_StMarys I think it's important to remember: we're human and life isn't always smooth sailing, by thinking about our teacher identity, we can remember to address and reset if things haven't gone to plan. Also important to remember that teacher identity isn't set, you can adapt #pschat
@PS_StMarys I always let the children know when I like something they like - things like Pokemon and we share about our personal interests and hobbies. It's important for them to know you respect them and care enough to tell them about your life. #pschat
@PS_StMarys This is a tricky one! I'd say Michelle Obama (I've never compared myself her before!) I try to be inspiring for them. Try to help them realise they can break barriers and I am driven to help them achieve. #pschat
