The name of the criminal whose place Jesus took on the cross, “Barabbas,” means “son of the father.”
Amazing Grace…the “Son of the Father” took the place and penalty of a criminal like me, in order that I might be set free and become a “son of the Father.”
I am Barabbas!
“Let him who is not in community beware of being alone. Into the community you were called, the call was not meant for you alone…If you scorn the fellowship of the brethren, you reject the call of Christ, and thus your solitude can only be hurtful to you.”
-Bonhoeffer
“Give me courage to change my mind, when that is needed. Let me be tolerant to the thoughts of others and hospitable to such light as may come to me through them.”

Read this today:
“He [Joseph] was not going to stop loving the God who he knew, and who he knew stood behind all things, including the worst thing.”
Alistair Begg, “Brave”
Found this many years ago in the cover of my Mom’s Bible…
“It’s the BLOOD that makes you SAFE,
It’s the BOOK that makes you SURE,
It’s OBEDIENCE that makes you Happy.”
Amen, Mom!
@joshteis Love it, Josh! One of my favorite reads in recent years. It has been a great resource for staff encouragement & discussion. Excellent for small groups & personal discipleship!
