Here's what worries me about the EAGLE Act:
It improves things for the people currently treated the worst, but it does so by gumming up the rest of the system
For example, CRS projects it would grow the expected EB2 backlog in 2030 for most countries from just 1 year to 37 yrs
@GitHubPolicy Who? Stop supporting this ridiculous nonsense bill that only changes its name every year but the same crap. This bill only benefits IT bodyshops to abuse h1b.
Big Tech lobbying arms pushing hard for the #EagleAct!
If this bill passes:
🔺Backlog for everyone 📈
🔺Total Big Tech monopoly over employment-based Green Cards
The real solution is to allocate more GCs to balance supply and demand.
@TammyFisicoff@Ynotgreencards@IEEEUSA
The employment-based green cards in the Biden/Menendez/Sanchez bill would add $500 billion to GDP.
Why aren't we talking about this?

@sundarpichai Google is leading an effort to maintain temporary work authorizations for spouses of foreign workers, while simultaneously turning their back on legislation that grant workers green cards. They want indentured servants!

This is a LIE: "The law, in effect, gives the same number of green cards for employment to India as it does Iceland."
2019:
India got 13,272 EB green cards
Iceland got THIRTY NINE.
2014: India got 40,859 EB green cards
Iceland got FORTY THREE.

All of Us applauds the new Administration’s openness to a stepping stone approach. We are eager to help in a way that benefits everyone.
Whatever Congress does first, we urge more green cards for the employment-based backlogs to be the next. #USCitizenshipAct
All of Us strongly endorses the Employment-Based reform proposed in the #USCitizenshipAct by @POTUS@SenatorMenendez@RepLindaSanchez.
This proposal will solve the EB immigration backlog, while rejecting all zero-sum approaches of the past few years.
.Immigration Voice goes after @RepZoeLofgren –bragging they tried to get @RepJudyChu@RepGraceMeng & @SpeakerPelosi
to accept the new Chinese Exclusion Act in a backroom, so they attack their strongest ally: “the only person who failed this bill is *Rep.Lofgren* herself.”

The ZERO SUM per country bill has failed, AGAIN. The All of Us strategy-developed by Bruce Morrison, the author of last green card increase-proves when the problem is NOT ENOUGH, the answer is MORE. Looking forward 2 solving the backlog in next Congress.
