Passed all my competencies and now I'm certified 🙂. It's been a busy first year getting to grips with my role and being part of the INTERACT trial but I love being an SLT. Hoping to do some postgrad study now I've lost my stabilisers 🤩
I'd love to know any resources I can pay for that I can also share with TAs or parents for carryover? I can't with nearly anything I own due to copyright and it makes me so sad.
It's great when you see a resource that says you can, but they're few and far between!
@about_speech Thank you. That's what I've been doing, I just wondered if there was anything I'd missed evidence wise that I should be considering, but I'm reassured there isn't 🙂
@about_speech Thank you for this. I gave this a read last week and although very thorough, it doesn't seem to cite recommend fup and retest...unless I've missed it, which knowing me I could well have! 😆
I return this week & I'm excited to say that I'm going to be an SLT guiding interventionists as part of an RCT. I'm very passionate & nerdy on EBP and to be part of robust research this early on is a great opportunity! 🙂
@Widgit_Software I have Widgit Online through work & I'm making a social story, but I can't put a line over 'teacher' in Widgit Online. I have a free trial of Communication in Print but it's watermarking it. What can I do in Online to signify a teacher's not going to be in?
There's been a lot of times recently where I've felt I'm not cut out to be an SLT. I feel my age & NQP-ness (if thats a word 😆).
Hope it gets better 🫰
I had fun with a Boom Cards Halloween themed loaded /g/ scene today. The child looks for the 'spooky' /g/ words hidden under the flashlight. This is why I love working with children - I get to be a big kid myself 🎃 👻
@Beckyclinton01 I'm 40 (almost 41). My new way of working is tough such as the organising myself and the travel (new driver too). I'm hoping I'll continue to adjust, but I feel that if younger it'd be easier. Thanks for replying, it's good I'm not alone
