1. Don't put cotton buds in your ears.
2. Your ears cleanse themselves when you chew or yawn.
3. Using cotton buds can push wax back into your ear and rupture your eardrum.
4. And let me make this clear to you:
EAR WAX IS NOT DIRT!
5. Ear wax actually keeps your ear free from tiny insects and dirt because it is acidic and helps prevent fungi from growing in your ear. So removing your wax might actually do more harm than good.
6. Even if you think you have earwax build-up that needs removing, please don't remove it yourself. Let your health provider do it for you.
