@jp_koning Unfortunately the only domestic systems with ISO 20022 are Fedwire, CHIPS, RTP, and FedNow. Even then, most banks only provide rich data when you're receiving payments, so it probably wouldn't help for cases where you're originating payments.
@jp_koning Unless you're an engineer the answer is probably "it's not". The one improvement for end-users might be extended remittance data. Each bank payment in your online portal could have the same data that a receipt has, instead of just a vague (barely human readable) description.
