Very happy to be in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, for the 57th Annual Convention of the Odisha Society of the Americas, to attend its opening ceremony as Chief Guest and receive this honour from the OSA family.

Founded in 1969, OSA has been bringing Odias across the United States and Canada together for more than five decades. I was very happy to meet so many Odias here. Though they are living far away from Odisha, their love for our language, culture and traditions remains the same.

On this occasion, OSA and KIIT��KIMS also announced their shared intention to build a long-term strategic partnership in education, healthcare, innovation, culture, youth empowerment and community service. I hope this association will create meaningful opportunities and further strengthen the bond between Odisha and the global Odia community.

My heartfelt thanks to OSA President Shri Nagesh Rajanala, Vice-President Shri Utkal Nayak, Bunnu babu, and the entire convention team for their affection, warmth and honour.

20 years of KiiT International School is a matter of great happiness for me.

It feels like yesterday that KiiT International School started its journey. Today, it has completed 20 years and has bloomed in the true sense. Over these years, the school has grown in every respect and has become a place where children are cared for with love, discipline and sincerity.

KiiT International School has always tried to give quality education along with values, confidence, creativity, sports, culture and overall development. I feel happy that our students are getting an environment where they can learn well and grow as good human beings.

As Founder, I convey my good wishes to all the students, teachers and staff of KiiT International School. I also appreciate the Chairperson, Principal and the entire team for their hard work, dedication and care in taking the school forward.

Heartiest congratulations to Odisha’s young chess talent Sattwik Swain for winning the Bronze Medal in the Open Under-10 category at the FIDE World Cadets Cup 2026 in Batumi, Georgia.

At such a young age, his focus, discipline and confidence are truly inspiring. He has made Odisha and India proud. My best wishes to him for the days ahead.

On National Doctors’ Day, my heartfelt greetings and good wishes to all doctors who serve society with care and dedication.

I also convey my special wishes to all doctors of our @KIMSBBSR family. KIMS started with a humble beginning and today has become a 2600-bedded multi-speciality hospital, serving thousands of patients every day.

This has been possible because of the sincere service and patient-friendly care of our doctors.

Very happy and proud of our student Ms Samarpita Dash, PhD Scholar, School of Mass Communication, KIIT Deemed to be University, for receiving the Odisha State Film Award as Best Actress (Jury) for the film Ae Akasha Tale.

It is a happy moment for the entire KIIT family to see our student being recognised in Odia cinema. At KIIT, we always try to give our students opportunities in every field, so that they can discover their talent and move forward with confidence. This is the beauty of KIIT.

On the auspicious occasion of Snana Purnima, I pray to Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra and Chakraraja Sudarshan for the well-being of all.

This day creates a special feeling for every Odia. When Lord Jagannath comes out for the divine bath and gives darshan in Gajanana Vesha, the heart is filled with devotion and peace.

Very happy to share that our KIIT & KISS students performed Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, Hamlet and Macbeth in Santali today in Kolkata.

After their return from Romania, and after their performances in Delhi and Bhubaneswar, it was a proud moment to see our children perform again today before a distinguished gathering in Kolkata. For me, Shakespeare in Santali by our tribal students is very special. It shows that when children are given love, care and opportunity, their talent can reach any stage in the world.

The programme was graced by Padma Bhushan Shri Leander Paes Ji, Olympic Medallist and International Tennis Hall of Famer; Smt. Purnima Chakraborty Ji, Hon’ble Minister of State for Information & Cultural Affairs and Tourism, Government of West Bengal; and many eminent guests.

I feel very happy that everyone appreciated the performance of our children. When our tribal children perform on such platforms and receive so much love, it touches my heart. It gives them courage and takes their language, culture and confidence to a larger world.

Deeply pained by the recent earthquakes in Venezuela, Japan and Northern California, especially the tragic loss of more than 230 lives in Venezuela.

No words can reduce the pain of families who have lost their loved ones. My heartfelt condolences to them, and prayers for the speedy recovery of all those injured. May God give strength to everyone affected in this difficult time.

Happy to share that the KIIT School of Sports and Yogic Sciences has signed an MoU with National Sports University, Manipur, to strengthen sports education, sports science research, yoga education, student and faculty exchange, high-performance sports development and knowledge sharing.

National Sports University, Manipur, established under an Act of Parliament in 2018, is an important institution of the Government of India dedicated to sports education, research and training. I feel happy that KIIT is joining hands with such a national institution for the development of sports and youth.

My sincere thanks to Shri Daljit Singh Chawdhary Ji, Vice-Chancellor, National Sports University, Manipur, for this meaningful partnership. I hope this MoU will contribute to the growth of sports education and research in India and help many young people move forward with discipline, knowledge and confidence.

KISS Ranked 24th in India among Government and Private Institutions in THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026.

I feel very happy to share that KISS Deemed to be University has shown a very good performance in the Times Higher Education World Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026.

KISS has been placed in the 401–600 global rank band and secured 24th position in India among government and private institutions. This is a big jump from the 1001–1500 global band in 2025.

For a young deemed-to-be university like KISS, created exclusively for tribal children, this recognition gives me deep happiness. It shows that when work is done with sincerity, care and purpose, the world also recognises it slowly.

KISS has also secured Top 10 positions in India in three important SDGs — SDG 1: No Poverty, 6th; SDG 4: Quality Education, 9th; and SDG 5: Gender Equality, 6th. These SDGs are closely connected with the life, dignity, education and empowerment of our tribal children, especially our girls.

This recognition belongs to our students, alumni, teachers, staff, well-wishers and everyone who has believed in this mission. We will continue to work with humility and responsibility for the poorest of the poor, for tribal empowerment, and for a more equal and compassionate society.

KIIT No. 1 in India in 3 SDGs in THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026

Happy to share that KIIT has achieved another proud milestone in the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, securing the 101–200 global rank band and 4th position overall in India.

KIIT had a very humble beginning, but it has made its mark globally through rankings, accreditations and quality education. Today, KIIT stands with confidence among the reputed universities of the world. In India too, it has made a significant impact as a leading university.

KIIT has secured:

• 1st position in India in three SDGs — SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, SDG 14: Life Below Water, and SDG 16: Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions.

• 2nd position in India in two SDGs — SDG 9: Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure, and SDG 15: Life on Land.

• 3rd position in India in three SDGs — SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 6: Clean Water & Sanitation, and SDG 7: Affordable & Clean Energy.

All remaining SDGs are within the Top 10 in India.

Slow and steady wins the race, and this journey of KIIT proves that sincere effort, discipline and faith always bring results.
