هشتم مار�� امسال در حالی فرا می‌رسد که ایران ما سرنوشت‌سازترین فصل تاریخ معاصر خود را از سر می‌گذراند.

زنان ایران که پیش از بلوای ۵۷ از بسیاری از حقوق و آزادی‌های خود در پیشگاه قانون برخوردار بودند، با استقرار رژیم جمهوری اسلامی، بخش بزرگی از این حقوق و آزادی‌ها را از دست دادند. با این همه، در ۴۷ سال گذشته هرگز پرچم مبارزه با تبعیض و بی‌عدالتی را زمین نگذاشته‌اند و همواره در صف نخست ایستادگی در برابر این رژیم قرار داشته‌اند.

روز جهانی زنان برای ما یادآور شجاعت زنانی است که در خیابان و دانشگاه، در خانه و محل کار، و حتی در زندان و تبعید ایستادگی کردند؛ زنانی که بهای این ایستادگی را با به خطر انداختن جان و آینده خود پرداختند و امروز نیز در انقلاب ملی شیر و خورشید ایران، دوشادوش مردان، برای رهایی میهن مبارزه می‌کنند.

در ایران آزاد، دموکراتیک، آباد و شکوفای فردا، همه شهروندان فارغ از جنسیت‌شان در پیشگاه قانون برابر خواهند بود. زنان و مردان نه در تقابل با یکدیگر، بلکه در کنار هم، آینده‌ای روشن برای نسل‌های بعدی خواهند ساخت. زنان ایران که در مبارزه برای آزادی پیشگام بوده‌اند، در فردای رهایی نیز نقشی تعیین‌کننده در بازسازی کشور، استوار ساختن نهادهای دموک��اتیک، و شکوفایی اقتصادی و فرهنگی ایران ایفا خواهند کرد.

در این هشتم مارس، یاد و نام همه زنانی را که برای آزادی ایران جنگیدند و با شجاعت و فداکاری چراغ امید را روشن نگه داشتند گرامی می‌دارم. ایمان دارم که مسیر انقلاب شیر و خورشید سرانجام به طلوع روشن آزادی و عدالت در ایران خواهد انجامید.

Stop using the suffering of my people as political ammunition against Donald Trump.

You say you are grieving for those killed in this “unnecessary war.”
Really? I checked your social media. More than 20 posts attacking President Trump after he removed a monster terrorist of Iran, Ali Khamenei, but not one post grieving the massacre of more than 32,000 unarmed Iranian people. Why? Shocking.

More than 10,000 protesters were intentionally blinded by security forces. Young women were shot in the eyes. Students were beaten to death. Families were burying their children. Where were you then?

We are not a tool. The pain of us Iranians is not a talking point for your partisan battles.

As a woman, your silence while women in Iran were being shot, jailed, and blinded is more than disappointing. It is insulting. No it is beyond that. It is a slap in the face of Iranian mothers burying their children who have been killed by Islamic Republic.

I cannot ignore this hypocrisy.
Our suffering did not fit your narrative. Our voices were inconvenient. Now that the situation serves your political agenda, you speak loudly.

Very heartbreaking to see, powerful women in the West totally ignoring Iranians being slaughtered. 💔
