This article makes some very compelling arguments for why there is a need for government involvement in the digital divide. https://t.co/clAGVkRJ8m #ci3342#socialmedialearning#digitaldivide
This visual is casual and comedic. It’s purpose isn’t inherently to educate. However, I feel it makes some good points about digital citizenship. It discusses ownership over what one posts and the rights of the people posting online. https://t.co/fMwUq0jvu4
This is an incredibly interesting article that touches on digital citizenship and where the line is drawn on freedom of speech in a virtual space. #ci3342#socialmedialearning#digitalcitizenship

@pazureka To college, where almost all assignments were done virtually was relavtively easy. I credit both my experience with technology and my ability to afford a quality laptop. I do know people who have had a hard time with th adjustment because they lacked those resources.
@pazureka I went to a school that gave every student, from kindergarten on, a device that we could choose from a list. They gave us a variety of choices to allow each student to pick a device to fit their work styles. I spent all of my primary education working virtually. The transition

@pazureka I immediately jump to cancel culture here. It has become, almost a standard, online to ostracize people whose actions are deemed discriminatory or offensive. They call them out which shuts the conversation down. It’s an unhealthy culture that impedes social change as it often
@pazureka I think that we are shaping technology and technology is shaping us. It is certainly impacting the manner in which we communicate and had altered our social expectations. However, as our expectations change we continue to shape technology. #ci3342#socialmedialearning
@pazureka @intlpodcastday I live over an hour away from both campus and my job so I drive about 300 miles a week! I listen to lots of podcasts while I drive. My favorite is My Favorite Murder, but I like anything true from. #ci3342#socialmedialearning
@pazureka@CommonSense@CLLab Communication is becoming more + more digital as opposed to in person which definitely impacts our socialization. Research into both the positives + negatives of this are very interesting, but learning how to use it is key because it isnt going away. #ci3342#socialmedialearning
Governments play a crucial role in either promoting or thwarting change. @Katja_Iversen, @phumzileunwomen, @GenderEQ & I urge leaders of G7 countries to use their power to ditch discriminatory laws and push for progress for women & girls: https://t.co/9P5Ks6tq9P #BeBraveG7
