Machado was awarded this year's peace prize “for her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy”

Every morning on my way to work, I pass by an older gentleman dressed entirely in black, wearing a black cowboy hat, as he walks his aging black dog. He nods at me each time. I love this daily interaction so much.
