We are delighted to announce the completion of our management team for the forthcoming season with the appointments of Richard Thomas and Stephen Ryan.
Staying with the Rams for Rob Henryโs debut season in charge are ever-popular members of the backroom staff in Lewis Hindley and Tony Dunn, taking up their usual roles of Goalkeeper Coach and First Aider respectively.
Joining the club as our new Assistant Manager is 43 year old Richard Thomas. A UEFA A License coach, Richard has previously worked in academy football with Preston North End and Blackpool as well as roles with the likes of Chorley, Lancaster City, Garstang and Squires Gate.
One of Richardโs stand out achievements in non-league was helping Squires Gate to their joint highest ever North West Counties placing when they finished 6th in the Premier Division back in 2015.
โI am delighted to join Ramsbottom United as assistant manager,โ said Richard.
โThe club is in a strong position, with a very good group of players and innovative coaching staff. I look forward to getting started to improve on the already excellent work from previous seasons.
โI canโt wait to meet everyone concerned with the club, especially โRammy Ultrasโ who Iโve already heard a lot about.โ
A person that requires no introduction though is Rammy Womenโs first team manager Stephen Ryan, who also joins up with Robโs staff as a coach for the season ahead.
Another extremely popular member around the club, and the wider juniors set up, local lad Ste canโt wait to get going.
โFirstly Iโd like to thank Rob for giving me this opportunity and Iโm so proud to be a part of his new management team and really excited for whatโs ahead,โ said Ryan.
โItโs a fresh chapter, we have big ambitions and a real chance to help build something special together.โ
New Rams manager Rob Henry was delighted to complete his management group as the club look to put a hectic couple of weeks behind them and get ready for what promises to be a busy pre-season.
โTommo is a fantastic acquisition for the club, his coaching qualities and ability to work with players is second to none,โ said Henry.
โHis experience and knowledge will be key to enhancing the group further and, with the addition of Ste Ryan and with Lewis and Tony staying with us too, I absolutely canโt wait to get started.โ

Having finished the campaign in the North West Counties League Premier Division in second place with a record haul of 98 points, the Rams frustratingly missed out on promotion having been beaten in the play-offs.
The disappointment however, did not darken the mood as the club held its end-of-season awards night at the Buchanan Sports and Social Club in the town, on Saturday night.
As the club had this season, for the first time, introduced a Ladies team, it was decided to hold a joint celebration, with the ladies receiving their awards from manager Ste Ryan.
The audience of well over 100 showed their appreciation to the ladies and were thrilled to learn that, so successful had the launch been, next season there would be a second Ladies team introduced.
With a successful First Team, and a thriving Junior set-up accomodating over 700 local youngsters, the two Ladies teams merely confirmed how Ramsbottom United Football Club continues to grow and flourish in the town.

More from these to come but it was fantastic to see so many smiling kids and parents down at the game today as our new U6 group enrolled with Ramsbottom United Juniors.
Posing for signing on photos, being presented with their new kits and then having a kick about on the pitch all before forming a guard of honour for the teams as they walked out.
Thank you all for coming down and for your support in our win over Chadderton and we wish you all the best as your Ramsbottom United journey gets underway.
