@lillanaeswa @rubix_tacos @trickstvry Thats a ridiculous way to view art. Human experience isn't defined solely by gender. Of course female characters can resonate with men. Supergirl is a character who faces feelings of isolation and not fitting in, are you claiming men cannot relate to that

@lillanaeswa @rubix_tacos @trickstvry I don't understand the post, its essentially saying that criticism for men is invalid or unimportant just because men cannot directly resonate with it (which they can anyway), but that logic is absurd, can I not enjoy a film about people who aren't exactly like me?

@pjiminsbae @trickstvry The problem is that its just quite silly to label men as a single group, that's literally half the population. I generally enjoyed supergirl anyway. People can critique film that doesn't feature people from their direct demographic.

A lot of women have also voiced criticism towards the film as well, if it resonated with you that's great, but film is subjective, there are plenty of reasons not to like Supergirl outside of it not being personally resonant. @rubix_tacos @trickstvry Many men, including myself understand this, you can criticise films that don't feature characters you directly relate to. Supergirl is a flawed film in my opinion, doesnt mean I only like male lead films, just that this film is pretty weak
