@pmcondon2 What needs to be broadly understood is that the extractions demanded through inclusionary housing policies and amenities are completely out of whack with market realities. Projects can’t afford to pay for amenities anymore. Can’t expect a landscape architect to understand that.
@pwaldkirch Replace housing shortage with food shortage and think of how different the rhetoric would be. If we had a food shortage, would people be demanding the farmers get less profits or are greedy? Or would they said let’s find a way to get more food?
@CityHallWchVAN SiX StOrEyS oN 4Th WiLl RuIn ThE CiTy. Are you serious? The hypocrisy of wanting homes and decrying anything sensible is shameful. You should be embarrassed
@VanPoliMorphus@christineeboyle@OneCityVan It is obvious that you don’t understand how the program actually works. Uncontrolled market rents can increase over time. These are rent controlled with RTA only regardless of turnover becoming more affordable in comp to mkt over time. Yr 1 is closest it will ever be to market.
@VanPoliMorphus@christineeboyle@OneCityVan One is secured at rates that are controlled and can’t rise and one is not. This is the value and benefit. I know reading is tough
