The Brazilian general elections were held a few days ago, over 125m votes were electronically transmitted, collated & results announced within 8 hours.

This is a fellow “developing country” with population of over 200m people, yet see how efficient they are, but we have bastards in Nigeria making excuses for our failed leaders. It’s well sha
New York City, wetin dey sup? It was a joy to commemorate 34 years of the Nigerian Day Parade alongside the many Nigerian New Yorkers who fill our city with life.
From the entrepreneurs whose businesses strengthen our neighborhoods, to the sounds of Afrobeats pouring out of graduation parties in Southeast Queens, and the aroma of Agege bread calling out to passersby in Brooklyn — the impact of Nigerian New Yorkers is felt across the five boroughs.
Our city is richer in culture, stronger in community, and more vibrant because of your contributions.

One of the things I'm learning in marriage is this "private time" that men need.
Yesterday, my husband became cranky after work stress plus he couldn't get something done online with GTBank. I quickly packed the children inside a room and read a book together. He slept off in his alone time and woke up his normal self again.
Earlier in our marriage, I would get upset about this. Thank God for growth 🙏
NYC now legally requires companies to make cancelling a subscription as simple as signing up, the first US city to do so

Wo I don't give a shit, I'm a human being first.
I'll be kind to and love anyone that's a decent human being, I don't care what language you speak, I don't care how you worship God or if you don't worship one.
Be a fucking decent human being.
You can have all your lofty ideals, but Nigerians will always remind you why Nigeria is the way it is.
My condolences to those Nigerians who still have hope for the future of the country. You are much better people that I am. Lol.
The strange thing about Nigerian politics is that sometimes the strongest defence of a government does not come from the government itself, but from ordinary citizens who have somehow convinced themselves that holding their leaders accountable means helping the opposition. Imagine applying that logic to a company: the customer complains about poor service, and instead of fixing the service, other customers start attacking him for making the complaint. That is essentially what political tribalism does. It turns citizens who should be demanding better governance into unpaid defenders of political parties.
I’m trying to put my finger on what’s felt off about the way we discuss our politics. I think it’s that some of you don’t realise how badly we’re being treated by the ruling class. And if you feel it’s not affecting you, it is, you’re just numb to it. We deserve so much better.
As a Yoruba boy who just graduated and finished NYSC, write your resume in Yoruba with amin ohun and submit it to both corporate organizations and government parastatals for job placements.
