@bxjaeger @MetroUK Pigs are killed all the time so people can eat them, what makes this news is that their carcasses could be incinerated rather than sold as meat. 'Destroy' is regularly used to describe this procedure, e.g. in coverage of bovine TB. Hope that helps :)
