A lot of Christians are afraid of “Deconstruction.” I’ve personally gone thru it and let me give you food for thought.
1. There are 2 types of deconstruction happening in the church. One is healthy the other is dangerous. 🧵
We must not despise what God is doing in our day. He is doing what he promised. He is cleaning house. Make no mistake. Christ still walks among the lampstands. In faithfulness, he’s refining the church like gold in a purifying fire so that the dross may surface. He’s dismantling
Here’s the thing. People can take away your reputation. They can take away your dignity. They can take away your position and they can take away your income. They can take away your church. They can take away your friend group. But they can’t take Jesus away from you. He keeps.

Feel your feelings but trust your gut. There in that deeper part of us, in our innermost beings, the Holy Spirit will direct us. There we will most often get a sense of direction whether to resist or welcome an opportunity, withdraw or advance in relationship or to say yes or no.

Jesus talked a lot about how we should identify ourselves. He said it wouldn’t be what we said we believed or all the good we hoped to do someday. He said we would identify ourselves simply by how we loved people.
Love isn’t something we fall into; love is someone we become.
Tonight a patient called therapy appointments "lessons" and said "I am in therapy to remember who I really am under all the stories about who I'm supposed to be, and these are lessons in remembering myself so I can find my way home when we're not together" *cue tears*
