@BillisKing we played that team from East Alabama, whose name you will not add to the verboten list. How does a Coach prevent a letdown from a big win?
@BillisKing i’ve always been fascinated at the equipment that’s available to teams on away games. What is typically planned for when packing those trailers?
@BillisKing i’ve heard a couple times this week about gunner’s exceptional performance against the blitz. What does Coach attribute that to? Is it scheme or experience?
@BillisKing we all know the greatest improvement in the season comes between game one and game two. Would Coach agree that the second biggest improvement comes after their first conference game? I’ll look at the Bulldogs schedule. I think that might be true.
@BillisKing we’ve talked about how the greatest improvement a team makes is between week one and week two. Does that hold true for teams that start with lower division opponents?
@BillisKing If I have three clearly interchangeable offensive tackles, each could start, what leads me to the decision of rotating three tackles or maybe finding another spot on that line for that third tackle, maybe a guard.
@BillisKing there was a time when some coaches had a two quarterback system or at least had two that split time, but that has largely gone away. It seems to be a good strategy; why did it not work? Was it the old saying that if you have two quarterbacks you don’t have any?
@BillisKing Erk famously went to Georgia, Southern and restarted a football program from scratch. His blueprint, loosely, was to put in an offense nobody knew how to defend and play tough defense. What would coaches blueprint be if he were to be starting a new program?
@BillisKing strength and conditioning coaches are historically nuts! What kind of gains were expected between spring and now? I’m sure it varies by position, but were there numbers that you wanted to hit?
@BillisKing which would you rather have: more yards than the other team, more time of possession, or more plays? Which do you think is the greater indication of winning the game?
@BillisKing as a teacher, sometimes we have to come up with something off the top of our head to get the point across. Has Coach come up with a drill off the top of his head during practice that he kept using?
@BillisKing when Coach is developing schemes and gets stuck - how much does he reach out to people compared to looking back at old film or old books on strategy? If he does look back at film or literature, what does he look at?
@BillisKing went to my nephew‘s wedding in Athens this weekend. Has Coach been involved informer players weddings? Has he ever had a player get married during the season?
@BillisKing Christian Okoye was famously inexperienced in football, but made it to the pros. Has Coach ever had a player with that little football knowledge coming into the sport.
