@emzanotti I watched it live. One of the teachers at my school had applied for the program and had a special interest in space. I also vaguely remember Reagan's speech later, though I've watched it again a few times since. Beautifully written.

If I'm not mistaken, when I got married in the 1900s the clerk gave me a list of places to notify about the name change, like Social Security, banks, and credit cards. It's probably easier now that the internet has been invented.

To get married, you have to go to the county clerk's office to get a marriage license. You know, the same place that records the license and keeps birth certificates. If you can get married, you know exactly where to go to get your marriage license to change your legal name.

Here are the facts: the 7 states where 2/3 of Americans don't have a passport. All of them are red states: West Virginia, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Yes, that's your home state, Scott.

Married women whose married names aren't on their birth docs would face extra hurdles. Just because you don't care, doesn't mean it isn't a real issue.

It took 17 years for Real ID (with similar citizenship requirements in some states) to actually be implemented in the US. Do YOU think that's because Americans are "too dumb" to figure it out?

Oh and BTW, according to the SAVE ACT, most Real IDs wouldn't count.

Minneapolis is another city business travelers/conventions will abandon. They left San Francisco because of poop and muggings, Denver because of potheads and muggings, and now Minneapolis because of crime and no enforcement. What a shame.
