What a night at the Reach Plc awards!
@nottslive is brand of the year 🎉. So chuffed after a tough year - what a team of reporters. So proud.
@DylanHayward is the rising star of the year 🎉
@PJLynchjourno is LDR of the year
And @MattLeeJourno highly commended for regional journalist of the year
Amazing work goes on every single day in all our newsrooms and it was such an honour for all of us to win.
Totally with @OliverPridmore here. I can't understand the motivation for launching this - how does it help restore trust? Surely the resources could be better used elsewhere. https://t.co/KOgyayqtTb
30' | TRY & CONVERSION – TIGERS
Gabriel Hamer-Webb gets his first Tigers hat-trick, the wing diving over after a sensational miss-pass from Jack van Poortvliet.
🐯 Leicester Tigers 29 - 3 Newcastle Red Bulls 🐂
In a twist of events, Leicestershire County Council has temporarily pulled its term time proposals and gone back to the drawing board in a cabinet meeting this afternoon.
👇🏻
Nottinghamshire Police tried to stop us reporting matters of public interest and when it didn't go the way they wanted it to, they reported us to our regulator.
Thankfully, IPSO saw sense and threw their complaint out. For the Chief Constable to say now that this was a mistake is quite frankly pathetic.
Instead of trying to protect their reputation, the force and Chief Constable should have been communicating properly with the people who really matter here - the families of the victims and the survivors of those horrific attacks.

I was told before Nottinghamshire County Council’s meeting today media had to sit upstairs - we usually sit in the chamber.
No solid reason why. Reports of several empty seats in the chamber - random.
We’ve argued it. Told I’ll be allowed back in after lunch.

This was dealt with incredibly poorly by @NottsCC - they could have let us back in, there were lots of empty seats, but instead they blindly stick to their guns and the Reform members applaud.
Nottinghamshire County Council's Reform leadership has stopped us reporting from the council chamber without any explanation why.
Our reporter was told to report on a key meeting from an upstairs room, even though there were at least five empty seats.
We've challenged it.
Wrap-up from today's Nottingham Inquiry. This was the incident police told us about in a non-disclosable briefing, trying to prevent us and others reporting it. We decided to report it in the public interest.

Nottinghamshire’s pothole crisis latest.
A man was reportedly taken to hospital after falling into a pothole the other week.
Reform says the road where the reported incident took place will be fully repaired within months.
