The men who want to do all the spending in a relationship, do not do it out of love, but out of control. In true love, both parties give ALL of themselves to the relationship, including their finances.

9ja men do not want that because it means the woman would have a voice in the relationship. But why would you want a relationship with someone whose voice is silenced? Why would she not have a say in her own relationship. This is also why they are threatened if the women is successful or earning well, because it means their only measure of love is now made redundant. Thus, she will speak and have a voice regardless.

No man who is paying all the bills, buying all the gifts, bearing all the financial burden, refusing to collect your gift or have you invest in the home or relationship, is doing it out of love. It is about control. Any woman who is okay with this arrangement is also not in love. She is in business. You should learn to treat business women as business women, and pay them for services rendered, instead of making commitment to women you have to pay to date you. A love story is written by two lovers, not a service provider and a client.

When these transactional relationship ends, the men do not lament about the memories created because there is often nothing of worth. They lament about how much they have spent and invested in her. I've seen this a thousand times.

Nigerian men will never have sense, but we will keep talking. He who has ears to hear, let him hear. Again, to love is to GIVE love and to RECEIVE love. If you're only giving and not receiving, it is not a love story.

Be with a woman who is 100% committed and invested in the relationship with you. Anyone who withhold their finances in a relationship is not a lover. Money is a tool that adds icing. It is not the cake. Love exists in and of itself.

Special moments are special because of special people. You have only one heart, be true to it. In the end, you'll accept the love you think you deserve - even if it kills you.
