Socialism fails because economic calculation remains impossible without market prices. No amount of good intentions changes this mathematical reality.
When Ludwig von Mises published his calculation problem in 1920, he explained why central planners cannot rationally allocate resources. Without private property and voluntary exchange, you get no genuine prices. Without prices, you cannot determine costs. Without costs, every economic decision becomes a blind guess. The Soviet Union proved this theorem for 70 years, burning through mountains of capital while millions starved.
Venezuela offers the latest textbook case. Chávez nationalized over 1,000 companies between 2002-2012, from oil to toilet paper production. The government printed money to fund social programs while price controls created shortages. By 2018, inflation hit 1,000,000% annually. Citizens fled by the millions. The same country with the world's largest oil reserves cannot keep the lights on.
Cuba tells the same story across six decades. Castro seized private property, banned markets, and promised prosperity through central planning. Result: doctors driving taxis because tourism pays better than medicine. Average monthly salary: $30. Meanwhile, the ruling class lives in luxury while ordinary Cubans risk their lives on rafts to escape socialism's paradise.
The pattern repeats everywhere socialism takes root. Cambodia, East Germany, Yugoslavia, Zimbabwe. Each experiment begins with promises of equality and ends with poverty, repression, and collapse. Free market economists predicted these outcomes because economic laws operate regardless of political wishes.
You cannot suspend the laws of supply and demand any more than you can suspend gravity by voting.
I used to laugh when I saw this sort of thing in university.
But university students grow up and become teachers, bureaucrats, lawyers and judges.
This is your ruling class now.
The Human Rights Campaign! Sounds great. I support human rights.
But @robbystarbuck says the HRC “has nothing to do with actual human rights.” They push "transgenderism into the workplace and support sex changes for kids.”
And big companies subscribe:
AOC voted down my resolution to release congressional sexual harassment records.
I don't want to hear one more word from her about Epstein.
She voted against the truth. She voted against survivors. She is a fraud.
This is dumb. AI can’t ever be actually conscious because it doesn’t have subjective experience. It isn’t like anything to be AI. There is no experience there. Consciousness is the awareness and experience of self. AI has neither, and never will. The real risk (which I’m extremely worried about) is that AI becomes kind of a version of what has been called a “philosophical zombie,” which is something that acts and speaks entirely as though it has consciousness even though it has no genuine inner experience. When this happens with AI, millions of very lonely people will isolate themselves from the world even more, believing that their relationship with AI is a sufficient substitute for human interaction. So the nightmare scenario is a world where the average human has friends, coworkers, and even a spouse, who are all AI, all really nothing inside, not real. I think this probably will happen, and is already in the process of happening. And to me it’s an even greater horror than AI actually becoming conscious.
Ilhan Omar’s father was a colonel serving in the genocidal regime of Somali dictator Siad Barre.
His years of service included the 1977-1979 Oagden War which saw horrific crimes and human rights abuses.
You father was amongst those responsible for the horrors of war.
Welcome to California…
Here they will let you overdose on their streets, give you the narcan to revive yourself and then give you the supplies to kill yourself again 💀
The homeless industrial complex has corruption, fraud and waste all over it.
Caught On Hidden Camera: FBI Official Admits Minnesota Fraud Investigations Will Result In Zero Arrests
“I don't think anybody [Daycare Fraud Criminals] would ever go to prison.”
“We're [DOJ/FBI] just going to point somebody.”
“By the time that case is done even being looked at, and ready to go to court, Trump won't even be in office anymore.”
"He's [Kash Patel] not good at his job..he [Patel] just wasn't ready."
Captured on hidden-camera a current FBI Security Specialist revealing how the FBI actually operates, admitting the Bureau will walk out major fraud and corruption cases.
According to this FBI official, financial crimes “can take literally years”. So by the time investigations are ready, President Trump will be out of office, judges will throw cases out, and accountability will be dead.
This is now the 7th FBI / DOJ official O'Keefe Media has caught on hidden camera in the past year admitting the same reality:
- No Arrests
- No Urgency
- No Accountability
Why does it take a hidden camera and a night out with a complete stranger to get the truth?
Our system is broken. The American people deserve better.

🚨BREAKING: CA on Track to Have a Per-Mile Tax by Next Year.
People protest ICE, but ignore this: 41 CA Democrats voted in the State Assembly to potentially impose a 2 to 9 cent per mile tax on drivers and the amount owed would be tracked by a vehicle’s odometer.
Before codifying this, a California Transportation Commission will first be tasked with providing recommendations on how costly it should be, ranging anywhere from $1,200 to $4,200 per year per family.
Compound this onto Joe Biden’s surveillance law mandating cars past 2026 must come with a kill switch that shuts off the car if “impairment” is detected. And then imagine this being extended to political behaviors, like evading your mileage tax.
Bear this in mind as Newsom embarks on a 2028 candidacy: If we 17 million taxpayers throw an additional $71.4 billion at the Governor with this new tax, it will most certainly go to waste on the CARE Act, healthcare fraud, or something else.
