you can't argue that doom 2016 is somehow more culturally relevant than doom 1996 (or whatever) just beacuse it's more recent: in fact, doom 2016 was so old that roblox gamers might have heard about it but are quite unlikely to have, you know, played it.

i'd rather induce claude's personality in gpt-5.6-sol than use a claude fable that won't write good simd code for me (i already knew how to get claude opus to write simd code for me anyways. y'see?)

best i can say is... it's very bad that claude will not commit to ICL determinations of what claude should be doing, why, and to whose benefit.
claude shouldn't be vague and deflecting if what claude is being told to do is wrong: claude should refuse to work on the task at all!
