While Richard Dawkins asserts that women suffer a low status in Islam, let us remind him that Hazrat Maryam or Mary, is a highly regarded figure in the Muslim faith. We are quite certain we respect Christianity as taught by Jesus more than Richard Dawkins ever will.

It is telling however that despite his objections to God and religion based on his understanding of the Bible that he would ascribe himself as "culturally Christian", a statement that makes a mockery of the Christian faith.

Richard Dawkins’ claims against Islamic teachings on women and science are completely misguided. Islam explained expansion of the universe before humans had capacity to observe it. Islam established eternal and divine rights for women centuries before the era of western feminism.

Perhaps the good professor has forgotten the fact that Islam has given women full rights to their property, their wealth (which their husbands are not entitled to) and the right to divorce? A pretty hostile religion don’t you think!

Surprising that Richard Dawkins suggests Islam is doctrinally misogynistic when the Holy Qur’an tells us ‘He has created you from a single being; then from that He made its mate.’ (Ch 39: V.7) In Islam women are not created out of the rib of a man, but rather from a single being.
